They definitely lean left in their opinions for the most part, but they don't let their political ideology get in the way of reporting on policy in great detail, and will often link to stories and other sources for both sides of a policy argument.

I could never understand why anyone was so in love with Christie after he went begging hat in hand to Obama after Sandy.  The guy did what he was constitutionally required to do in that once instance so we're supposed to genuflect in front of him because of that?   He's a terrible person in every sense of the word.

Jon Runyan Won't Run for Re-Election

Moderate Republican congressman Jon Runyan won't run for reelection in 2014, leaving New Jersey's third district (BurlCo, Ocean County) wide open. The 40-year-old Runyan (of course) said he is leaving to spend more time with his family, which includes a teenage son who plays football at St. Joe's Prep. The real reason, many suspect, is that he's sick of the hard-liners in his own caucus.

"Jon was frustrated – no secret," said Burlington County Republican Chairman Bill Layton [to the Inquirer]. "For the last year he was dealing with people in the Republican Party down there giving him a hard time on the Sandy relief package, and then there was the closure of government."
