Stewart destroys voter ID laws. Wish him and the show would press the issue and make it a bigger story

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Mittens is announcing his VP pick tomorrow at 9am ET

Sources are saying its Paul Ryan

they just lost every single 62 and over vote in the country...but whatever makes the base happy

the scrutinization of his budget is going to make bain and tax return issues look like some petty grade school shtein

Ryan is a better pick than pawlenty.  Probably not as strong as Rubio.  Obama should win regardless.

It'll certainly cement hardcore conservatives to the ticket, might sway a few Paul bots away from voting libertarian.
But the Obama campaign can go after his draconian budget plans which basically put a whole lot of money into the pockets of the rich while completely gutting any and all assistance to pretty much everyone else. They need to be smart politicians on this one.

Also, just incase you weren't completely convinced that Mitch McConnell is a total douchebag...
QuoteBiden says that during the transition, he was warned not to expect any cooperation on many votes. "I spoke to seven different Republican Senators, who said, `Joe, I'm not going to be able to help you on anything,' he recalls. His informants said McConnell had demanded unified resistance. "The way it was characterized to me was: `For the next two years, we can't let you succeed in anything. That's our ticket to coming back,'" Biden says.

i think ryan is a terrible pick because of his budget....its going to get ripped apart and end up in a whole bunch of effective ads for obama

the only possible plus for mitt is that this will put him in the background for a while and even after that ryan will be getting a lot more attention than a pawlenty would

it all goes back to mitts whole campaign philosophy from the start....blame barry for everything on earth hope the economy tanks and sneak in the oval office with a negative number

The last thing I'd ever do is beat the drum for Ryan but who was he supposed to pick?  Pawlenty is a joke who was emasculated by Bachman, Portman is bleh.  Rubio probably would've been better because he'd have helped Mitt with FL, butI don't think there was anyone to pick who would've made him the favorite suddenly.

ice grillin you

pawlenty and portman were unattackable at least in any legitimate way....whereas ryan is a lightining rod...hes the one guy that could take attention off the economy and do so in big way

You organizing it again?

The trip is easier for me to make now but the fact that it's MNF slightly fargs it up for me.
