And Dio, if I had a dime for everytime you play the party line. I'd be reretired in a Sanford gated community!!

be real...the second you got a whiff of all the color there youd never go back

what? someone said thats why they had gated communities :paranoid

Rome

The problem is for most whites gated communities are golf course enclaves whereas for many blacks they're called penitentiaries.

When more people in a socioeconomic group end up in prison than in golf course communities that's a problem, and not one GOP candidate gives a damn about correcting that.

Obama has his faults to be sure but turning a blind eye isn't one of them and that's why he's got my vote.

ice grillin you

its funny if you watch any fox coverage of the martin incident you rarely never hear them say that his father lived in that community....they do anything to try and make it sound like he was taking a shortcut home thru the gated community to his fathers shack on the other side of the tracks and shouldnt have been there in the first place....as if that would have warranted him being killed

He only turns a blind eye when its black on black. In the white police officer and black professor incident he was all over that, in the Martin case he said if he had a son, he would look like Trayvon. Why didn't he come out and make a similar comment when 39 people were shot, 10 people were killed in one weekend in his hometown of Chicago? One of the innocent victims was 6 year old Aliyah Shell, he does have 2 daughters. His statements are calculated and driven by politics and votes.

Well he does have 2 daughters, Aliyah Shell

Obama has a responsibility to comment on a lot of politically charged events...and unfortunately, not all murders are politically charged events.

Not to mention this was a case where we know who shot the kid, Obama knows who shot the kid, everyone not living under a rock knows who shot the kid...yet there's been no arrest made. Had the person who shot Trayvon been black, you can bet your ass an arrest would have been made.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

I don't think this argument makes much sense.  Is it not a tad more believable to maintain that the President is only going to comment on nationally publicized events?  If there was a huge news story that involved two black men killing each other, I'm going to bet you hear him comment on it.  Black and white people kill each other every day.  Do you see him making political statements about it?  No.  The reason this time was because of the scope of the story.

Some on the right were criticizing him for not talking soon enough, and now he's getting criticized for talking at all.  I don't get it.

phillymic2000

He didnt have to comment on the case IMO. 39 people being shot and 10 killed in one weekend is and was pretty big news.

of course it doesnt but you have to realize that phillymic simply read it on one of the many fox news and right wing blogs it has been on over the past few weeks...its been a big right wing talking point lately...he had no clue nor did he give a shtein how many people or kids died in any particular weekend in chicago or anywhere else till he read it in places like this...

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/04/03/Valerie-Jarrett-Chicago-violence

like the president of the free world has time to spend on parochial violence...and you are right the minute he spends even five seconds on it the right would start babbling about syria and how it wouldnt have gotten nearly this bad had obama concentrated more on it and less on some kids in chicago

You know what's worse than fox news?   When NBC and ABC manipulates tapes to slant the story?   Now that he's being charged and it will go to jury, are you going to stop whining now?

What's even worse is when people like yourself think they really slanted the story. Just because the tape didn't have the 911 operators question asking the description doesn't mean it was slanted. Jon Stewart did a hilarious skit on idiots who think what NBC did was really that big of a deal. I'll post it when I get home...it's spot on.

And he should be charged, you dont' follow a person around then shoot them in the chest and not get charged because of some ridiculous self defense law. The whole this is ridiculous and it's no surprise the right has taken the stance that they have. I hope you all burn in hell with the rest of Foxnews.
