Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

america chose ignorance, fear and superstition tonight.

farg all of us for that.

Some of us would simply prefer that the Federal government doesn't have the opportunity to give each other reach arounds while passing one-sided legislation.  Checks and balances can be a good thing.

Maybe you'd hate life a little less if you weren't such a fleshpop.

the problem is that these people on the far right/tea partiers ect. who are getting elected  arent going to change one single thing about the federal governments finances...nor do they care about them

their agenda is a social and moral one..they want a country that controls womens bodies and governs the people by the ten commandments and issues a firearm at birth to every child and teaches creationism in public schools all while making sure that every black brown and yellow person in the world is to be feared to the point that they can justify their wars and take away our civil rights

dont fool yourself into thinking these maniacs give a flying farg about federal government spending...they care about that as much as bush cheney delay and newt did

The "Tea Party" lost as much as they won.  I agree completely about their lack of agenda, but it is quite telling that America is so willing to cock block the Democrats that even mediocre righties can win.

By the way, leftists should be thrilled about this, because it essentially guarantees Obama re-election and a liberal majority in the Supreme Court.

It's sad when someone like Feingold loses and Reid wins, even if he is infinitely more preferable than Angle.

True that.  Feingold is one of the few tolerable Senators (left or right).

Eagles_Legendz

And that's the problem.  Candidates are becoming more polarized and less moderate, making our already incompetent government even less capable of accomplishing anything.

on the right they are....there is a fairly large coalition of moderate democrats in congress

its not like feingold lost the primary to a left wing hippie who went on to win the seat....he was trounced by a tea partier

the right has lost people like arlen spector lincoln chaffee and jim jeffords...and they are replacing them with the likes of michelle bachman and rand paul

Didn't read the whole thing because, well, I'm tired and ready for sleep.  But I read the first couple of paragraphs and that's absolutely deplorable and there was definitely some back room drug deals being made.  I'd also speculate that it's not a widespread practice around the country either and that the majority of cops and firefighters retire after earning a moderate salary and receive a nice pension.

Oh ... no doubt about it.  Christ, my g-pop was a firefighter who made crap in Philadelphia... I'm just saying that I can't stand corrupt certain places are..

so when the country is still in a shteinhole in 2012 the voters will vote out the tea party people because nothing got better and they failed to fulfill the majority if any of their campaigne promises.
