the fact that palin scribbling some notes on her hand is still being talked about at all shows how sad the media is. 

at the same time, i can't say i disagree with the commentary about gibbs doing something completely unnecessary.  obama has been preaching bipartisanship since he threw his hat in the presidential ring like 3 or 4 years ago and for gibbs to take a jab at palin by doing it himself, even if it's just in jest, is still counter productive.  the only thing it really does is give the repubs ammo to say "they're just making fun of us, they don't really want to reach across the aisle and be friends."  it just gives them another excuse to be counter productive.....like they need any more farging excuses. 

is it much ado about nothing?  yeah.  but the fact is the right will make a mountain out of this mole hill and gibbs basically just spoon fed them with this one because it not only undermines what obama is trying to do (by bringing the 2 parties closer together) but it also makes him look like a fool for employing politicians who are using the same, childish mud slinging tactics that he's worked very hard to keep out of his camp.  and as they even pointed out, palin is practically a nobody right now.  she doesn't have a job in government so why bother worrying about what she says or does?

i agree...especially for the fact that it was sara palin who did it...like that should come as a suprise at all...its been well established how much of complete moron she is...and more than that she has no chance at any higher office so just let her go...at this point it almost seems like piling on by left

that being said the more the dems rip her the more the pubs defend her and thats to the dems advantage...because most normal non MA pubs dislike sara palin as much as the next guy and when she is legitimized by the right in any sort of meaningful way it is really bad for the republican party

completely agree.  at the same time though, palin does enough on her own to discredit herself and the right so the dems, especially those closest to obama need to take the high road and stick to business rather than mocking or making fun of what anyone does (be it palin or whoever).
