You're still not getting it. No one here is defending ACORN, not even our resident liberal nut.

You, on the other hand, are defending the notion that there are death panels in the health care bill. What's worse, you're doing it in classic Bill O'Reilly fashion...saying "okay so there aren't any in there...but As you can see from this one case in Oregon where there aren't REALLY death panels, but something kind of like a death panel in that not really kind of way...you can see why people would get that notion." Yeah, maybe dumbfarg Bob from Greenbow Alabama would think that and it'd be slightly understandable....not someone who was the governor of one of our states and a person who at one point was a candidate for #2 in charge of this country and considered a leader to represent an entire half of this country in the next election.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

It's not one case,  there are multiple cases in Oregon.

As for death panels, it was extremely strong and exagerrated langague used by Palin.  I even said that.  But, both sides exaggerate.  Obama said how if this reform wasn't passed that many more people would die.  Based on...???

He was just playing the odds as it's very likely that more people will die between now and whenever this is passed.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Hopefully a large percentage of people here will be among them.

based on millions being uninsured and not being able to recieve care that would make them live

you really wanna go into all the horror stories about people be dropped because of pre existing coniditons or the poor not being able to afford operations or procedures that would keep them alive
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

Not having insurance certainly does equate to not catching preventable/curable diseases early.

Ginsburg probably won't die of pancreatic cancer anytime soon, because she got prophylactic MRIs which found it early.  The rest of us, even with insurance?  Not so much.
Anyone but Reid.

ARLINGTON, Texas — Arlington Superintendent Jerry McCullough issued a statement Friday apologizing for how the district handled President Obama's live speech on Tuesday.

The decision not to show the speech live to school children became particularly controversial after it became known that the district had previous plans to bus about 500 fifth-graders to attend an event with former President George W. Bush. The event, which is scheduled later this month at the new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, will be an announcement about a volunteer initiative for the 2011 Super Bowl.

"In retrospect, I can see how the district's decisions concerning these two events could be seen as favoring one event over another," McCullough said in his written statement.

A good read about angry white people here...

Once upon a time, there was a President named Bill Clinton, who was, by most historical standards, a typical Centrist Republican, although by a fluke of geography and circumstances he ran for public office with a "(D)" after his name.

Under his Administration, many Conservative ideas which had long gathered dust on the shelf -- ideas such as welfare reform, a balanced budget, debt reduction, a strict "Pay as You Go" fiscal regime, a boom in technology jobs, budget surpluses, NAFTA, GATT, official bans on gay marriage, etc. -- were finally realized.

And for all of his good work on behalf of their ideology, Conservatives spent eight, long years treating Bill Clinton -- a Southern, White, Christian man -- as if he were a case of flesh eating nuclear syphilis.

Because he did not run for office with an "(R)" after his name....

Damn I had no idea a lot of people showed up, with the coverage it seemed like only a handfull showed up to piss and moan. 1 miilion is probably a high amount, but there is a ton of people there. Nice of the major news to cover it.

Haha... under a Republican controlled congress that forced his hand on those issues.  He came in as a loony liberal like Obama but realized his political survival depended on being close to the middle.  Sadly, Obama hasn't realized this.

Actually, what am I saying... I'm glad Obama hasn't figured this out because he'll be out in 3.
