By the way, Sarah Palin is still insisting on the existence of government death panels as a result of healthcare reform.

Wow.

You're surprised?  Why shouldn't she?  It's working.  She and her kind have what amounts to a mob at their disposal; there's no need to get all truthy with them, just lather 'em up and sic 'em on the enemy.

Wow.

While she is highly exaggerating, you may want to take a look at the state run plan in Oregon, in which numerous cancer patients were told that the state would pay for them to be euthanized, but would not pay for further chemo treatments.

Good.

Well when you wonder where the talk of death panels comes from, and I give you an example of a liberal state, which has its own state run plan, and how it will pay for a patient to be euthanized... now you know.

Please support politicans that can create a heath care reform bill that doesn't suck.  Thanks.

But I thought politicians weren't the answer?  I thought we were supposed to pull ourselves up by our bootstraps and buy our own health care coverage no matter what it costs?

So confusing.

Is that what conservatives have said??? I'm pretty sure everyone wants health care reform, just not this absolute garbage the liberals have been trying to force down our throats.

"At least 44 more moderate Members of the Democrat Caucus have gone on the record in opposition to the current health care bill in the House, a Hill source claims. Likewise, at least 57 liberal Members of the Democrat Caucus have gone on the record saying they will vote against a health care bill without a strong public option.

Unless multiple Democrats flip on their stated position on health care, Speaker Pelosi lacks the votes to pass a bill through the House on the strength of Democrat votes alone."

Your own party can't even compromise.... FAIL

So I read up on the Oregon case and it is interesting as a case study. My first observation is that I couldn't find ANYTHING about it on any reputable news web site. It's all super right wing blogs and the Washington Times (a legit publication, but extremely right-leaning). I didn't find a single hit from a moderate (right or left) or liberal publication. That's pretty suspicious. That aside, the Oregon case appears to be one of a VERY few cases where this has happened and in each case ultimately care was provided so it's not as though anyone has actually been sentenced to death by this type of scenario. Essentially it boils down to a convergence of variables (including the cost of care which this whole exercise is theoretically designed to lower) that led to a pretty awful situation... which was ultimately corrected.

Obama just voiced support for medical malpractice reform. Huge concession.

I found it only numerous sites... just because msnbc and cbs doesn't cover it, doesn't mean it didn't happen.  And how exactly was it corrected.  The one woman did eventually get her medicine... because the drug company donated it to her.

He still pushing the public option.... not going to happen.
