so here are the explanations for why black folk don't go for the Republicans, take your pick

they have been bought/are being duped by the democrats, which is the same as saying they are stupid so of course they are Democrats

they are racists and hate the white man, which naturally means they hate the Republicans because these are the only people who "stand up for white men's rights"

they don't hang out with racist shteinbags

I reckon the latter is the correct answer.

the group of blacks most likely to become Republican are the rich ones and the whacked out evangelicals.

I aksed my white friend who hangs out with black people if I was right. He aksed them and I got the go ahead to "sterotype" them.

So which reason is it you go for? I'm guessing you lean towards the first two explanations for why black folk don't cotton to Republicans.

An article suggesting that our high school history books are actually correct.

I have yet to read anything compelling to suggest that The New Deal didn't accomplish strictly positive things in its time. This revisionist history that has popped up recently claiming that The New Deal didn't pull the country out of the Great Depression just seems like desperate nonsense.

Some of FDR's programs have faltered over the years but that is due to poor upkeep, not a failure of the programs themselves.
