I'm not sure what you're points is. If this list of 'benefits' is to mean anything, you'd have to produce an equally thorough list of 'detriments' cause by gay marriage. All this list says is that people in functional relationships tend to me more functional in other ways as well.

WHO EVER WOULD HAVE THOUGHT?! Better get a constitutional amendment forcing everyone to take part in functional, healthy relationships as defined by an overbearing government...

No I don't.  I'm showing the benefits marriage provides to society that justifies giving them certain tax breaks and protections under the law.  Give examples of benefits of a gay marriage that have been proven.

It would need to be made legal in order to collect statistics but how can it not be a positive thing for any community to have two folks be in a monogamous relationship. Safer from disease, more stability in their lives means eat sleep work pay taxes like the rest of is. What's the big deal. They take part in our society getting a piece of the pie and American dream like the rest of us which means they buy into it they contribute. Win win.

yeah, you're showing the benefits of MARRIAGE...hetero or gay doesn't matter.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

The point is that you can't deny people rights simply because there is no proven benefit to their behavior. That's not the way the country works. If you give rights to one group of people they must be extended to all people. It's called equality and it's one of the founding principles of this nation.

If a person's behavior is actively detrimental to society then you can make an argument that their rights should be revoked, but once again we're back to my point about providing a list of ways that gay marriage would be detrimental.

In this country we believe that "All men are born equal." They don't have to prove their equality and get rights bestowed upon them once they prove they are worthy. The right of equality is "god-given" and "self evident". In order to revoke rights from people it must be proven that they are a detriment, not the other way around. We don't assume that they are a detriment until they prove otherwise.

We need to castrate hetero couples that produce gaybies. Problem solved.

Tax breaks aren't in the constitution.  Single people are being discriminated against!  Protect the ugly!  Why is there so much hate?   :crazy

It doesn't need to be, equality for all covers everything.

This I actually agree with. Why should married people be asked to pay less money to the government?

Never!

Married people don't pay less in taxes.  They actually pay more - the deduction for a married couple is less than the deductions for two single people living together.

I'll ask the same question I asked before, to Phillymic specifically. If being gay is a choice are all straight people repressed homosexuals?

I don't know, if true you could use it for anything, alcohol, drugs, atheism. Hell maybe I'm a repressed muslim.
