If someone can sit on his ass and have a lot of the same benefits as someone who goes to school for 20 years and tries to invent a new kind of alternative energy or becomes a doctor, that guy is probably going to sit on his ass.

it always kills me how you zealouts in a country of 300 million people can be so fixated on the 1% who try and take advantage of shtein....farging do what you gotta do and stop worrying about others peoples bidness...and if you cant do that then maybe spend your time trying to help the millions and millions of average americans that are struggling and getting farged rather than the crying like a bitch over the miniscule number of ingrates who take advantage of the system

1%?  Does the tooth fairy exist in this world of yours also?

Watch out, if we raise taxes on the rich people, on the people who have no problem with groceries or gas money or utility bills or car payments or mortgages or college tuition or second mortgages, etc....well, they might give up being rich!  They might move into the ghettos.  Quit their jobs, lay off their employees.  Sell their yachts and vacation homes and Land Rovers.  They might give up the entrepreneurial spirit altogether, get jobs as crossing guards.  They won't work hard anymore, won't invent anything, won't employ anyone.

If we raise taxes on them, it will be so much harder to be rich that they'll all just quit.

It's time for a maximum salary anyway, might as well do it now.

Hahaha.  Go ahead and take it to the extreme.  Fine.

You do know you're a massive idiot, right?  Thankfully, the people you voted for know that there is a limit to wealth redistribution where it becomes extremely dangerous.  People respond to incentives in both directions.

But hey, at least this chick is going to play "Palin" in a porno.

Well, shtein.  I'll bet it's more entertaining than "W."

QuoteThe talk of "nuking" differently-thinking people after this huge election will be the undoing of the Democratic party in the next four years.

LOL, dream on Nostradomus. As if a few guys on some football forum speak for all Democrats. Besides, when I write things like SUCK IT I'm not addressing it to Republicans, only Repubelicans you.

So, again, suck it. Suck on it hard.

... and I thought FF was the one taking the tax code thing to an extreme...

Obama lets the Bush tax cuts run out in 2011 on the upper tax brackets. Raising taxes or reverting them to pre Bush era = tomato tomahto. He then extends and deepens them for the mid to lower brackets. Not exactly the end of the world. If there's a small or large business taking the attitude of not working as hard, they deserve to be run out of business when the competition kicks their unmotivated narrow world view having asses. I'm all for fiscal conservatism but this tax debate is out of hand with reactionary misinformed bull shtein....

The deficit devalues the $$ and the economy is in the crapper. Folks need a break and the government needs money. A combination that is at odds with itself.

the campaign is over so lets drop the stinking rhetoric.

Not that it's any of your fargin business but I've never once said I was a true libertarian.  I want fiscal restraint to be the hallmark of our federal government but I'm realistic enough to know that as big as this country is we're going to have a large bureacracy to go along with it.

If that makes me something less in your eyes, well, I guess that's just a cross I'll have to bear.

PS: You're increasingly acting like someone who thinks he knows everything but in actuality knows very little outside of the insulated little country club existence you're currently inhabiting.  I don't know when this happened because the FF I've known all these years was never the smug douchebag you're acting like now.  I mean, you WERE, but never really were.

Whatever, though.

I am not a Republican.  Diomedes is one, though.  Maybe he'll do the deed for you.

You initially came to this board to troll as a skins fan.  Then, proclaiming that you were no longer a skins fan, you've been all-but exclusively on to join the anti-right movement on :CF.  Now that the war is over, are you going to go back to rooting for the skins.

Remember, folks, things like hate and bigotry are only from the right.

An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

honestly, other than a friend or family member dying, last night was the first time i got really emotional/teary eyed since i was a kid.  great day for america and the world.

QFT.

I did not think I would get nearly as emotional as I did watching the display in Chicago and Obama's speech.  Truly a remarkable day.
