I just find it comical that everyone is already preparing for an Obama Whitehouse... with bookies in Great Britian already paying out for Obama. 

What are you all going to do if McCain wins this thing?  Can I put ATV in a catapult and send him to Canada?

regarding the semi serious discussion rjs tried to start, 'what will it take to get a third or fourth party into the mix'....it will take major changes to voting laws regarding thresholds to qualify to run, campaign funding regulations, and to the laws which dictate the actual balloting rules that would allow for no confidence votes and/or second choice etc.  I don't see how either of the current parties would propose legislation to make it easier for them to lose, even if by some miracle the voters demanded they do it.  How the voters would ever get that idea in their head, I don't know. They are generally too poorly educated and too naturally stupid to give a farg.

Powell endorsing Obama is very important for independent voters and moderate Repubs who hadn't decided yet.

Also, the race is hardly in the bag.  After what I've seen this election, I simply won't believe that America will vote for a black man until it actually happens.  This country is so deeply racist it's hard to overstate.
