i would bet almost anything that if the mccain campaign finds itself in the position of almost certainly not winning a couple of weeks out that they drop palin and bring in a new veep nom....it would dominate the airwaves and give them a bump across the finish line

No thats Biden.  If Obama is behind in the polls at the end of the 1st-2nd week in Oct they will bring Hillary.  Like in the NJ senate race when Lautenfarg was brought in several years ago...you just change the candidates if they are behind in the polls and your party appointed the judges
