chalk this debate up to McCain...without question

Obama needs to stop agreeing with Mac all the time because it first makes him sound like a puss, and it makes it look like Mac is better than him

ice grillin you

has anyone watched the whole debate...ive only watched the last 10 minutes cause of the phils game but in the little ive seen  mccain is destroying barry
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

watched the whole thing....nobody thought Mac would be able to hang with him....but the boy did a friggin phenomenal job

fantastic debate..both had strong rebuttals...but Mac owned the mic

good thing is 95% of the people who watch debates have already made up their minds
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Obama did a great job early on. McCain has owned this shtein for the last half hour or so.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

really....the economic breakdown I thought Mac controlled. It looked like Obama was getting very flustered.

Lies or no lies that were being spewed from whether mac said that and obama said that, its how you react to them...and it looked like Mac got the better of him

Great debate. Only thing I didn't like was that McCain refused to look Obama in the eye. And Obama wanted to keep interrupting McCain. But, overall, I thought McCain won a close one.

Perhaps reese, admittedly I missed the first 20 minutes or so. But from what I saw, Obama got weaker as the debate went on. Which is not to say that he did badly, just not as well as I expected.

McCain addresses his proposal to give tax cuts to big corperations in hopes that it will bring business back to the U.S. and keep companies from going to places like Mexico. Don't know what to think about that, it seems like a move that could backfire.

agree

wait till you see the new commercial of Obama agreeing with McCain all the time...that should give Obama a boost in the polls

rjs246

Frankly, I thought it was an even match overall. My expectations were just significantly higher for Obama's performance and I'm not sure that he met them.

I agree. That was kinda' grade school for Obama saying "Thats not true". Made him look bad to me. ABC news is already talking about doing some fact checking.

i think obama agreeing with him is a breath of fresh air if thats what he was doing...normally maybe not the most politically smart thing to do but it fits in with his message from the start...a different kind of politics...change....reaching across the aisle ect...

again i only say a little but from what i saw mccain looked like the experienced confident commander in chief type almost schooling the newbie...granted i caught a few foreign policy exchanges where mccain has an advantage but damn he was taking barry behind the woodshed

McCain excelled in the foreign policy exchanges. He just has more experience. He's been there and done that.
