This is much more scary than any of her political leanings:

Apparently McCain is up in the latest Zogby poll by 5 points.

Hopefully, Cerevant has the most recent state-by-state breakdown to confirm that it's a meaningless mirage.

Obama has lost some ground in the state-by-state race as well, with OH, NH, VA & NC all shifting to "undecided" (within margin of error).  The national trend is also sitting within the margin of error.  That being said, the score is 260-176, with 102 EV up for grabs.  Obama is still "winning" but he really can't afford to lose more ground.

Hopefully the Biden selection will give him a boost.  It is pretty clear that he was selected to address the foreign policy & experience weaknesses - hopefully that will pay off.

I just finished listening to "Plan of Attack", and while I accept that it probably isn't 100% factual, the following speaks volumes:
QuoteThe Bush Administration's own view of Plan of Attack is interesting. When the book was published the administration denied many of the accounts in the book, but the Bush/Cheney re-election campaign listed Woodward's book as recommended reading nevertheless. (The Kerry/Edwards campaign also listed the book as recommended reading.)

When the Republicans and Democrats both consider this a good book, I have to believe that the overall themes are basically correct.  It is clear that the Bush administration believes that foreign policy should be conducted at gunpoint, and there is no indication that McCain believes otherwise.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

ice grillin you

the biden selection already hasnt given any boost...undecideds see the veep as the guy who should be president and the president nominee the guy who should be in the veep chair gaining experience

It could just be that people aren't buying that Obama is going to change anything, he did start out in Chicago, that is not a model of positive change to think about to some people, Daley, Stroger, Jones, Durbin blah.

ice grillin you

if mccain was some bastion of change that might make sense but by all appearances he more of bush

if anything barry represents too much change...starting with a black muslim being the president...its way to much to soon for this country

i said before and ill say it again...if his name was William Smith and his skin white hed be up by 20 pts right now...

the only reason its even tied is because of how pathetic bush has been and the hate people have for him...that combined with the fact that mccain looks like the cryptkeeper and is a joke of a candidate

It didn't help that Obama introduced Biden as the "next President."

I was not talking about McCain, and his ties to Bush.  Obama is a muslim :o you should send out an e-mail letting everyone know!! If his name was william smith and he was white, he wouldn't be going up against McCain, Clinton would be, and this "Mr. Smith" would not of recieved the majority of the black vote that Obama did simply because he was black to help get the nod. Maybe Obama and the Dem's views on things are not in line with main stream America. Bush has been bad, but the dem led congress is viewed lower then Bush, maybe that has something to do with it.

I know a lot of right wingers like to talk about 'mainstream America' like it's some kind of club that only they have a pass too but when the other view point puts up even a half way electable person with a pulse we get a highly contested election that has to be decided by the US Supreme court. You shouldn't alienate the other half of the country and attempt to marginalize their view point by claiming they're in some kind of minority. Heck that other view point controls the house and senate right now and if Obama wasn't perceived as a Muslim radical by scared white folks they'd have the white house uncontested.

If something is mainstream, it usually sucks.

Your side is out of touch  ;)  but you are wondering why he isn't blowing away McCain,  imo not everyone trusts that he will do what he says he will. I think we can be cautious with any politician, and again he's from chicago :paranoid. It's also early, I thought when he got the nod he would demolish McCain, I am surprised that has not happened. Maybe after the clinton love fest this week at the convention, some of her supporters will come on over to Obama and put some distance between him and McCain.

Wow i thought when the dems swept last time around I heard a lot of mainstream america is in tune with them, and mainstream america has spoken. Maybe it's ok to use when the dem's have the majority then.

Oh for the love of all that is good. There are plenty of black people voting for him just because he's black, no other reason, so give that ish up already. Thats a weak fall back if america does not elect this guy.

Regarding "mainstream", we've seen that when they say these things over and over again eventually it becomes true - Or the accepted way for the brainless media to put the issue in perspective.

Regarding the recent poll dips, hopefully this is just America taking one final look into the abyss from its rim. I find it very hard to believe that most Americans could stand to see the country go through more of the same.

say what you want about them but they are damn good at playing the game...much better than the left

they made john kerry into a traitor against george bush of all people

barry is an elitist vs a guy who cant keep track of the number of houses he has

being tolerant of others is being a pusssie

being anti war is defeatist

wanting to be liked around the world is treasonous

it goes on and on...
