It deserves to be aired over and over again...McCain is a cheating crook...or he was, 20 years ago, when he was only 55 farging years old.

QuoteThe Ethics Committee ruled that the involvement of McCain in the scheme was also minimal, and he too was cleared of all charges against him. McCain was criticized by the Committee for exercising "poor judgment" when he met with the federal regulators on Keating's behalf.  The report also said that McCain's "actions were not improper nor attended with gross negligence and did not reach the level of requiring institutional action against him....Senator McCain has violated no law of the United States or specific Rule of the United States Senate."  On his Keating Five experience, McCain has said: "The appearance of it was wrong. It's a wrong appearance when a group of senators appear in a meeting with a group of regulators, because it conveys the impression of undue and improper influence. And it was the wrong thing to do."

QuoteRegardless of the level of their involvement, both senators were greatly affected by it. McCain would write in 2002 that attending the two April 1987 meetings was "the worst mistake of my life".  Glenn has described the Senate Ethics Committee investigation as the low point of his life.

20+ years ago.  He admitted it was the greatest mistake of his life.  It was 20+ years ago.  The fall-out of this should absolutely be campaign reform, which has never passed.  And that can't be pinned on McCain.

Plus, Obama's a Muslim.

So you add that little quip at the end because why? One is truth, one is not. I'm not getting the humor in your post.

Shocking.  I thought it was sort of funny. Following up a reasonable point with nonsense to get a reaction. Sadly, it was PG who reacted first.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

McCain is a media darling, it's been well documented.

Did you hear, he was tortured, and he's a maverick!

There's only one Maverick, as far as I'm concerned:

General_Failure

They're both media darlings.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Diomedes

this is true.  the press loves Obama, what a story.

but they also love McCain..it's a banner campaign for them, they're making bank

McCain was interesting to the press 8 years ago.  Now, he's just old and Republican.  Reagan SMASH!

Cerevant

How can you count that scandal against McCain?  He was still so young and naive at 55.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

Obama is for serious.  This guy farging knows how to play the game, and there is zero chance he doesn't wipe the floor with McCain at this point.

$20 Ledger wins an Oscar.  Double or nothing Obama wins the Presidency.  Who wants in?

phillymic2000

I'll double that bet, he wins in a landslide. Chicago politics at it's finest, he is going to make Todd Stroger proud.

ice grillin you

i dont see how obama wins...hes had the best week he could ever possibly have and most polls still have the race within the margin of error
