Another thing to consider is if we had a national health system, this would unburden the private sector. Such as GM who claims they can't compete globally because for every vehicle they sell some $2000 dollars (or so) of the vehicle's price goes towards their employee's health care. This would be compeletely removed. Smaller businesses would be free to hire new employees without fear of having to pay this benefit.

So, in your view, who's paying for it?  Someone has to.

The doctors will gladly take less money, but also become better doctors.

The same people who pay for your kid's schooling....the same people who pay for your fire and police departments, those people that pay for the military, etc., etc. You know, those people.

Yeah... and the taxes that go up to pay for this plan, has to mean one of two things:

1.  The money currently for insurance is turned over to salary to cover the new taxes.
2.  Real wages are lower, and makes this bad economy historically bad.

worse than that they scare everyone into thinking they gotta take a pill for all their problems and on a daily basis they invent new syndromes diseases and sicknesses for people to worry about...they are straight up criminals

This bugs the shtein out of me. Restless legs syndrome? I mean, c'mon. I don't think prescription drugs should be allowed to advertise on TV. It's stupid as shtein.

I grew up with "socialist" health care. My Father was in the Air Force so whenever my family had a problem we simply went to Andrews AFB and everything was taken care of for free. It's like this for any military family. Our service was fine, none of us has ever had a single complaint.

Profit needs to be taken out the equation. The medical industries and their lobbyists have had our government by the balls. The first step to eventually making real progress has already begun - Awakening the people to let them know it doesn't have to be this way.

Health Care should be a right, not a priviledge.

I grew up an Army brat, but there are some zesty doctors in military hospitals. No matter what, everytime I went there I was given motrin. Broken leg? Motrin. Bullet hole in the femoral? Motrin.

But it is nice not having to worry about paying for medical bills. My insurance farging sucks now. That is the only complaint of my job, the medical sucks dick. We have a deductible to meet before the insurance kicks in. Never in my life have I had coverage like that. It was always just a co-pay.

It cuts into the insurance companies profits but they're still profits. It's the cost of doing the business they do. You can't all of a sudden change the rules because you don't like the way things are working and farg the whole system? Of course that might not even be the reality of th situation. I have no way of knowing either way.

Easily the worst decision ever made by the FDA was to allow drug companies to direct market.  And I work for one.  The entire Vioxx debacle stems from this.  If Vioxx had been used as intended, and not direct marketed to every person with a sore knee, we wouldn't have had nearly the health disaster it turned into.  And the people whom really benfitted from Vioxx would still have access to it.
Anyone but Reid.

Exactly.  And, on top of that, drug commercials are the most boring ones on TV.  Get rid of them.

I was prescribed Vioxx and stopped taking it because of the side effects. What was the initial intention of this drug?

I haven't seen video footage of this but it doesn't give me a positive impression of barry.

I happen to agree with his comments completely.  Had McCain said that, he'd be credited with straight talk.
