its been holding steady for the past hour or so. it looks like shes got it, but i sure hope im wrong.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I'm glad to hear Romney isn't getting his regional win..he spent a farg load of money there, happy to see that it didn't pay off.

Agreed.  He's an empty shirt and he just lost a primary in a neighboring state to an old fart from Arizona.

Awesome.

I watched both Obama's and Hillary's speeches last night.

When Obama started going into the issues, I found myself wanting to agree with him more than I did.  When Hillary opened her mouth, I found myself wanting to punch her in the adam's apple.

as much as i would love to see it obama is way to liberal to win the dem nom much less the presidency...his message right now resonates because its for change and he isnt seen as establishment...but hes yet to be pressed on the issues and his voting record (which is on the short list of most liberal in the senate)...when that stuff starts coming out hes going to be painted as a left wing looney and he will start to fall big time

It's just crazy enough to work, though.  Even some of the most staunch conservatives fear centrists.  I studied a theory in college that the political spectrum isn't as much a line as it is a circle, and this election would be a good study in that.  Frankly, considering the ineptitude of a neutered centrist congress to clash with a war-hungry Republican in the White House, is there any leftward direction that would really be too strong?  How much of the current mess could a de facto socialist even undo in 4 years (and Obama is not one)?

What this country needs more than anything right now is someone that will make it priority one to right the ship.  Pulling out of Iraq isn't as much the answer as better managing our military efforts.  Raising taxes on the rich and corporations isn't as much the answer as developing an overall fiscal plan and balancing the budget.  Universal health care isn't as much the answer as simply taking better care of our people in this country and expanding the group of people who can afford, emotionally and fiscally, to have some farging hope.

This is why I like Obama, despite being fundamentally against much of his platform.  Any idiot can see we're nearing American armageddon of sorts, but most of the idiots running for President aren't going to do shtein about it.

Im pretty sure that if Obama wins, the earth gets hit with a asteroid, like in deep impact

the fact that the democratic party worships bill clinton says all you need to know about its left wing having any influence...like i said in this thread before...there is no left wing of the democratic party anymore...

if the dems had a base as strong and as liberal in their party as the christian conservatives are to the right in the republican party obama might have a chance...but unfortunately thats not the case right now

I couldnt find the Dave Chappelle clip of the speech

Apparently I made a different connection.  Don't think I've seen that clip.  I thought you were making a black joke.

Then again, if Chappelle did a skit on it, I might not be that far off.
