You can be part of the solution by explaining to idiots within your orbit that generational changes in what is culturally acceptable to people are not Official Policies of the Boomer democrats currently controlling the party, or you could be part of the problem and promote dummies like Maher and their rhetoric that conflates the two even more so than they already are for the idiots. If you think the current course we're on leads the Democrats to victory in 2024 than I'm not sure there's anything more I can say. I'm done stressing about it happening and am making preparations for myself and my daughter who will be an adult. Again, Trump may very well win in 2024, but blanket statements about "the left" needing to "change" isn't really saying or doing much to stop it. People under 35-40, mainly on the left, are going to encourage boycotts and other market solutions to things they don't like/want changed. Not only is that not ever going to change going forward, but it's also definitely not related to Joe Biden or the Democratic Party's already moderate polices and Maher conflating the two doesn't mean you have to too. Advocate for policies you want passed, don't whine about the young people not liking covid disinfo or racism being spewed freely to 10 million listeners without consequences.

Re: what I said earlier about most of the problems people complaining about are being caused by the pandemic that those same people desperately just want to ignore and are "done with" and etc etc etc. Experts have been warning you since this started that this was a potential problem. Now it's here. But we should def still just be done with it.

It's gone over board. People have noticed. Mostly independent voters. Trump 2024 is avoidable but sadly still happening. Enjoy these next few years because America and democracy as we know it is about to change.

It really hasn't gone overboard, especially when you consider that 95% of the people complaining that they've been "cancelled" haven't actually been cancelled at all/continue to have huge platforms/make insane amounts of money/etc.

Some college campus lefties get overzealous once in a while after taking their first sociology class or whatever but it's definitely not a national emergency and anyone claiming to be on the left, Maher or you or otherwise, would be wise to not entertain the right wing's framing of those times and amplify them like some sort of real problem. Doing more to damage Dem election chances than help, IMO
