perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I've heard and read a lot of crazy shtein in my life but Jim Mattis's rebuke of Cheeto might top them all.

My god.

And the thing is I know for sure he went easy on him because it's got to be way worse than even he'd allow.

Incredibly scary times, guys.

It's real easy to wag your finger when you don't actually have to do anything to stop it.

QuoteDonald Trump is the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people—does not even pretend to try. Instead he tries to divide us. We are witnessing the consequences of three years of this deliberate effort. We are witnessing the consequences of three years without mature leadership. We can unite without him, drawing on the strengths inherent in our civil society. This will not be easy, as the past few days have shown, but we owe it to our fellow citizens; to past generations that bled to defend our promise; and to our children.

This guy was the Defense Secretary under Trump.   Trump is still in office.  This isn't someone trying to sell a book ten years from now.

Jesus Christ.   Just stunning.

hes going to sell the book in either 6 months or 4 years and 6 months

NyTimes op Ed writer Bari Weiss lied about the convos going on internally with the NYTime staff over their decision to publish Tom Cotton's fascist manifesto, and now she's getting her shtein pushed in by all her coworkers on twitter

Obviously they're all taking their orders from their (((editors))) and marching in step.

Good news, this.  Expect Trump to fire Esper within 12 hours.

Quote from: Washington Post
The Pentagon has told the District of Columbia National Guard and guardsmen from other states who have arrived in the nation's capital as backup not to use firearms or ammunition, a sign of de-escalation in the federal response to protests in the city after the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis, according to officials familiar with the decision.

The Defense Department, led by Defense Secretary Mark T. Esper, appears to have made the decision without consulting the White House, where President Trump has ordered a militarized show of force on the streets of Washington since demonstrations in the city were punctured by an episode of looting Sunday. Trump specifically had encouraged the National Guard to be armed.

budding problem in pa

philly still has 145,000 ballots left to count from tuesday and is maybe doing 10-20k per day. they obviously have no efficient system for counting and this figures to lead to massive delays in november. not good in what will be close at a minimal, and the delayed voted will be from the high population and therefore democratic regions.

heres good: with all those ballots still left to count (plus others in delco, montco, bucksco), dems have received **75000*** more votes than republicans for president. trump won by less than 50k in 16.

i know not all of this is transferable, but. biden is going to wind up very close to trumps vote total. bernie took about 20% of the vote and there was no comparable republican protest vote. good signs.

If Biden doesn't beat Trump by a hundred electoral votes, Trump will not relinquish the Presidency.

And even an overwhelming walloping defeat might not be enough.

ice grillin you

i think he wins but if not hes doing everything he can right now to stay in office no matter what...the reason he called in the military wasnt because hes a bunker bitch or that he wanted to farg up protesters he did it because he is tryin to pit the military and to a lesser extent law enforcement against the people so that he got them when he doesnt dip
