I'd pay for it if I could afford it but goddamn, that's a steep price even for the online access, particularly if you add it to the subs I"ve already got for my local papers, which are more important.

NYTimes is for rich people only.

Yeah I mean I'd love to pay but also I'd rather support local news when I can. Our local news radio station doesn't have any subscriptions but I've donated some small amounts to them a couple of times. Our local paper is USAToday owned now and kind of blows sadly

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

To appease Holic, I will also give my opinion: it's really really bad that this BS still gets traction in the media and they've learned nothing from 2016 and their inevitable both sidesing of this in headlines is gonna suck.

The Baltimore Sun is atrocious.  Owned by Tronk, it's a syndicated production....except for the local news, which is done by real reporters, some of them very good.  They just won a Pulitzer for local reporting.  I feel it's a duty to subscribe for that reason.

Yeah I probably should do that too hah. But it's just such a crappy publication for the most part.
Bleh.

To my point about how bad the media is gonna be at reporting this very non-story as a scandal:

Lol at "raises the question"...more like "immediately answers the question on whether or not it's political"

Trump tweets "Rumplestiltskin" and the media spends 48 hours ignoring 100,000 deaths at his hands.

At what point does the media forget about clicks and start saving the country from that farging monster and his henchmen?

General_Failure

It doesn't. There's no putting the toothpaste back in the tube on corporate media.

The man. The myth. The legend.

I honestly think we're over and done as a republic.  Authorizing warrantless searches was the final straw.  There should be blood on the tracks over it but no one gives a shtein.

farg it.  I'm too goddamn old to care anyway.

Right wing/Trump trying so hard to but her emails this and elevate it to distract from the pandemic

This is kinda getting lost in the shuffle but it's kind of amazing that the guy that do-authored the senate committee report that pointed out that Trump is pretty much an illegitimate president is the one getting investigated by the FBI over this while Kelly Loeffler seemingly isn't.

In fairness.. They might be working on her too, just haven't shown their hands at all yet

Imagine if Hillary Clinton pulled that shtein.  The right would be pulling its hair out and setting themselves on fire.  The worst part is so would the left.   How is this continuing to go on unabated?

Bunch of effete Hoydas whining on Twitter won't stop this.  We all know what has to happen here but no one has the balls to do it.  Shame, really.
