what i want to know is the 8-10% of the country that thought trump was a moron that has magically flipped to thinking hes a corona master

his approval numbers have number been higher and theres a country wide lockdown amplified by his own incompetence. yet.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Deal still isn't finalized, but from what I read so far, it looks like on the major points:

Dems getting what they want on
-Hospital and state/local government support
-oversight over the half a trillion dollar "slush fund" for big business

Repubs getting what they want on
-Income level cutoffs and size of checks...$1200 per individual, $500 per child

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

whats the cutoff

Unless the text changes while they're still finalizing everything, it begins phasing out at 75K for individuals and 150K for couples. Completely phases out at roughly 99K for individuals and 198K for couples

Like SD I was gonna donate mine. But even though I won't get one I'm still going to donate to the hospital workers where my surgery was done since they were so great to me and another local spot to help them get through this.

And I'm going making a list of the most repulsive GOP figures throughout this process both locally and nationally and donate to their opponents. I've got two scumbag county commissioners that went on the list today because they decided to vote again making the tolls free for 30 days on the toll roads here. Zero logical reason to oppose that. farg them.

Might take most or all of what me and my wife get and set it aside for my mom. Trying to convince her to quit her job, she works at a grocery store, to get the hell away from this. She's at risk and can't even see her grandkid right now.

She's afraid at her age she won't get hired back anywhere at what she makes now but, I'd rather help her out and have her work a part time job after this until she hits 62 and collect SS than risk this right now.

the repugs are evil bastiches...but they're great at messaging.  having your own tv network dedicated to it helps.

If it's based off $75k and lower and phased out at $100k I'm most likely just getting $500 for my daughter. Still will donate it

Goddamn y'all rich.

I'll take every penny and promptly send it right back out to cover mortgage, tuition, etc.  I'm proud to carry no debt past the mortgages and one small car loan, but even when working, I'm unable to save much.  This has/will kill my savings.

Those checks will be very important to us.

I wish they would have gone with the dems proposal which would have meant more going to the public. That would have helped people cover their nut a little better.

Its great you have no debt. That shtein is crippling. It took me awhile to climb out but it felt so freeing once I cleared it. I wanted to walk into the home buying phase with basically a zero on the balance sheet. I still owe on the Mustang but that's not a big deal.
