I was to the grocery store earlier today.  People are working their asses off to up in there.   Ain't just the nurses and cops keeping us together, these people are doing much bigger work than just making sure we can buy food and other necessities.  They're keeping a sense of order.   Super critical right now to keep our chins up, show patience and love to each other, and hold the line.

I believe most closed at points prior to today.

However I know some of them were thinking about going back soon.

Houston, thankfully, is pretty progressive since we're majority democrat. So we had this stuff for awhile now. My only beef with them so far has been, and I am not sure I can roast the city too much on testing, but today was really the first day for testing citywide. I also wish they would have canceled the cook off and rodeo way earlier.

Vermont and another state classified grocery store workers as essential to help them receive extra benefits

Honestly I just wish my mom could walk away from the job for a few months until we get the testing under control at the very least and then go back without losing her job or anything. Really really bothering me that she is possibly exposed to this nearly every day.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

I'd say they're worth $15 an hour

Plan is to get to Acme at 7am tomorrow

Nope just me and my daughter so I'll go at 7 am when it's hopefully not busy. Last time I went food shopping was 2 weeks ago so I'm going out of necessity

It's not public yet, but based on conversations which I know are presently happening, you should likely expect a shelter in place order within the next 24 hours for Philadelphia & Montco.  I don't know if it'll cover Bucks, Chester or Delco.

And there's the shutdown order for all business.  A small bit different strictly than shelter in place per se.

Wow. That's a bad plan for the lower income folks. $1200 wont cover much.
