Barack Hussein Obama has been elected to be the 44th President of the United States.

I keep saying that to myself.  As a black man... I can't begin to tell you how this feels.  Just unreal.  Mrs. Feva and I cried like little babies on the couch last night.  Years from now, our children and grandchildren will read about this moment in their history books.

This country has a whole lot of shtein that needs to be fixed... but I am very proud to know the american people are capable of such an achievement.  I had serious doubts about that.

The USS Obama?  I voted Dem for the first time in my life.  Hopefully the Republicans find their way back and put up a good candidate in four years.

Let them eat bootstraps.

Hawaii's not really a state, though.  It's sorta like Bermuda, I think.

Stop it.  You're going to make Don Ho and Phreak cry.

For historical perspective, Bush got 62,040,610 votes in 2004 over Kerry's 59,028,444.
With votes still being tallied, Obama has 62,443,218 to McCain's 55,386,310.

I'm not sure how many more votes are to be counted, but it sure doesn't look like any significant increase in overall voter turnout.  I'm guessing a lot of center-right people didn't bother.  Errands.

how funny was it looking at the Red/Blue states and basically seeing the map from the Civil War

It was a lot more similar in 2000 and 2004.

McCain's exit speech was great, he'd of stood a better chance if he was like that the entire election process.

Bush can't leave office soon enough, Jan. 20th is going to be a great day for everyone.

Obama was elected because he's the best man for the job. In my lifetime I've never been prouder to be an American. I might have considered staying in the Navy if he was CIC at the time.

I have to wonder if the Republican party can bounce back from this, they got destroyed lastnight. I'm glad to see America has finally opened their eyes and see what a zesty job they've done.

USA! USA! USA! USA!
