Quoteand no the tax increase has not changed. if you make 250+ you will see a increase. if you make between 200k to 250k you will see no change. if you make less than 250k you will see a cut.

when did itchange? the 150k number you are citing is from a Biden interview where he was using someone who makes a 150k as a example. not as a level.

Obama said 200k last week, then Biden said 150k this week, whatever, it will not stay at 250k.

did you just ignore my post and then repeat your misguided view point again?

i told you it never changed. when did biden say 150k? cite it. where is the link? and its always been 250+ you pay more, 200 to 250k no change, and 200 or less you see a cut.

and it is a good thing a lot more youth/black/minorities are coming out to vote. its always a issue that most of the youth and minorities do not care enough about the election. well now they do.

please, the only reason Obama is so far out in front, is because he's black, if he wasn't McCain would be ahead. Hillary ( who I guess would be the first black first lady) also would have been facing McCain if Obama wasn't black so forget that.

Absolutely incorrect.  If Obama was white he'd be trouncing McCain by 15 points right now.  Bush is the most unpopular President in history and the only reason this election is close is because white centrists are scared of the prospect of a negro President.

Biden did mention $150k - it went something along the lines of, "it isn't the people who make $1.4M that need a tax cut, it is the people who make $150k"

No change in policy here.  Move along.

The only thing that could change this race is turnout, if too many people think this is all over:
* Obama voters don't turn out because they think they don't need to.
* McCain Voters don't turn out because theydon't think it will make a difference.

Alright - time to stop arguing: what's your call?
Obama wins with 320+ EV, 4%+ popular vote
Wins PA, OH & VA, Loses FL
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

If Obama were white he'd still have 97% of the black vote and even I would be saying its over.

If I were in the Obama camp all remaining campaign money would be commercials of McCain saying the economy is fundamentally strong,he voted with Bush 90% of the time, and he approves of the Iraq war. All the other stuff is basically useless but those points are what will ultimately win him this election.

The Obama camp came ringing on my door yesterday, I've already done volunteer work for the campaign and have donated money, so I did what I usually did and didn't answer. They left a nice little leaflet on my door.

So how do you explain Kerry and Gore losing to the Big W?

QuoteSenator Obama has made a lot of promises. First, he said people making less than $250,000 would benefit from his plan.

"Then, this weekend, he announced in an ad that if you're a family making less than $200,000 you'll benefit - but yesterday right here in Pennsylvania, Senator Biden said tax relief should only go to 'middle-class people' - people making under $150,000 a year.

Bill Richardson lowers it to 120K
http://politicswest.com/32378/breaking_news_bill_richardson_lowers_obamas_definition_rich_down_120_000

QuoteObama started at $250,000, then said $200,000.

Joe Biden then dropped the bar to $150,000 three days ago.

And now, Bill Richardson says that "there is a tax cut for those" making $120,000 and under, implying that anyone making over $120,000 will be penalized by an Obama administration.

Everyone should vote.

phillymic2000

that was actually good, McCain was pretty funny.

SD_Eagle5

A few laughs but overall I thought it was weak. They've been steadily going downhill.

What's going on now has nothing to do with what happened in 2000 & 2004.  In effect Obama is running against the legacy of George Bush and if he was a white man saying what he's saying and running the sort of nearly flawless campaign he's run, he'd be trouncing McCain.  I can't say it any clearer than that.

People discounting Obama's race and the effect it's having on this election are either blind or just flat-out fooling themselves.  It's huge and it's a damn shame too.
