why not. get people to assume bush is running again, maybe that can outweigh all the people who think he's muslim.

I've been fighting that mispercecption about Obama in my classes.  They swear he's Muslim, and I have to try to explain that no, he belongs to the United Church of Christ denomination and is a Christian.  Almost every time, the kid follows with, "But... my mom/dad read it in an e-mail!"

I don't try to put one candidate in front of another, but I at least want my kids to have correct information.  Unfortunately, the internet is as great a tool of misinformation as it is for passing information around the world.

In all fairness, you guys are basically the same way about Christians as most Americans are about Muslims.  It's in human nature to allow the extreme ends of the spectrum lead the definition of a group.

i just feel so bad for an 8 10 or 12 year old muslim kid in this country and having to hear over and over again how horrible it would be if obama was a muslim....talk about an inferiority complex

Organized religion is for weak-minded simpletons who don't have brain power enough to think for themselves.  I don't particularly care which brand of mass delusion you engage in either.  The moment you turn your mind and pocketbook over to someone else, you've LOST.

Faith is entirely different, however.  If I choose to have faith in a deity, that's my business, but the moment I try and convince another person that the god I believe in is right or true or absolute, well, that's the moment that faith becomes corruptible and evil.
