Money for a never-ending war > money for well meaning programs?

I think mister FF is just playing devil's advocate. I don't think he even believes what he's saying anymore.

Oh,  he believes it.  He drinks it for breakfast every morning to help wash down his bowl of jesus flakes.

Note that our government only throws away his family's money. Apparently our families haven't thrown enough money down the Iraqi toilet.

The poor does not have the capability to pay for the debt of this country and really don't pay too much in taxes anyway. They use and get back more then they give, in tax dollars at least.

Which is exactly how it should be. Should the wealthy pay more in taxes and get greater benefit? Isn't that feudalism? (Actually, is that feudalism?)
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Father Demon

Nope, it isn't.  I'm helping my son study feudalism right now, and that's not it.

I am enjoying the fact that people arguing against FF's statement think that the money for the war will stop flowing as soon as a Dem gets in the White House.
The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

McCain's "100 years" comment was taken completely out of context, as he said that a presence would only be acceptable long-term if troops weren't dying.  Troops, as you might have noticed, are still dying over there.

That said...

Damn true.  Naturally, it's unlikely that any sweeping Socialist programs would actually be passed through Congress either.  Instead of making tough decisions and cuts, the government will continue to err to the side of spending, no matter who the farg is in there.  However, McCain is a little bit of a hard-ass about purely wasteful spending, special interests, and the ilk.  Actually, now that I think of it, Edwards would have been the best candidate to match up with McCain.  Oopsies.

I don't like pure anything in the government. Pure socialism would be as bad as pure capitalism as bad as pure commyism. Talking politics while drinking and watching the Flyers suck sucks...

You can't walk out on your contract as President.
Anyone but Reid.

Yea. Same here. I'm going to be even more happy when after a few months the Iraqis get their country back.

Sweeping socialist programs? Such as....?

Is this the new scare word for this election? What, has "liberal" been worn out already?

If Obama gets elected we're still not out of Iraq in a 'few' months. They might have different plans for getting out but none of those plans will really have the troops out in the next 2 years.
