I didn't think it was all that great.  I've read a dozen of these in style and substance.  He drove in another screw. I'm surprised the fool being profiled allowed herself to be interviewed by a WaPo writer, but it's not like anything was revealed.  The woman is deluded and pathetic, and the author is being cute about saying so.   I don't know that we really need more of these profiles.  We know who these people are.  Maybe it's the reporters and their editors who don't know who they are?  He sunk another screw. I wish the paper had spent the energy that went into this puff hit piece on harder, fact-based reporting that can't be done by a slick writer who worms her way into the car with a whack job.  It might make someone feel good to "try to understand" the brutes, and it certainly makes some feel good to read the insults between the lines, but I don't know...it's not that good.
