Clinton v. McCain

AP-Ipsos    4/23-27/08         41           50
Rasmussen   4/23-26/08         44           45

Obama v. McCain

                          McCain    Obama
AP-Ipsos    4/23-27/08      44       46
Rasmussen   4/23-26/08      46       46
Gallup      4/22-26/08      45       45
Newsweek    4/24-25/08      44       47

Fallacies:
  • No single poll is meaningful.
  • The democrats have primarily been campaigning against each other, not McCain
  • There are more who will claim to cross over than actually will in November
  • Popular vote does not matter in the US presidential election

The bigger concern can be seen here (finally updated).  Those results are still subject to 2 of the fallacies above.

Obama needs to shfit gears, and quickly.  If he doesn't win Indiana, things could start to go bad fast.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

That was a lot of blah blah to basically admit that Hillary's managed to take the momentum firmly away.

Terrifying. This country is farged.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

PoopyfaceMcGee

Does the next President automatically get a one-term mulligan to "clean up" the 8 years of Bush?  I say that whoever wins is going to play that card pretty hard.

BTW, cool article from the Telegraph:
Counting down the top 50 U.S. political pundits

Rome

in their heart of hearts, so-called progressive white americans would rather vote for a white broad than a brotha from hawaii.

omgshocking.

Here's the scale in terms of electability:

old white guys
really old white guys (McCain)
younger white guys
old (post-menopausal) white women (Hillary)
younger mixed-race guys (Obama)
old black guys
younger white women
dead white people
black women

QuoteA 'big press conference' on Wright

Obama was asked about Rev. Jeremiah Wright just now by a woman in Winston-Salem who tells the audience to watch his PBS interview, which will quell their concerns.

"I'm going to be having a big press conference afterward to talk about this," he responded, then referred back to a story the woman told about a mother having to borrow month to get to work.

"This is diverting attention from the first story that you told," Obama said.

Yay!  More on the Wright crap.

Also, Hillary's going to go on O'Reilly tomorrow night.  That should be fun.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.
