obama is a thousand times better than hillary who i cant stomach but at this point id almost rather have her win as obama is cooked...he has no chance to win the presidency and is basically hanging onto the democratic nomination because of some delegates he won in meaningless states two months ago...hillary might not beat mccain but she would give him a much better fight.....and as ive said all along its more important to get the republicans out than it is to have obama in

If he cannot come up with something dramatic in the next two weeks, I'm starting to think that I have to agree.  I get the feeling that the air has gone out of his campaign.  His message is no less compelling, it is just getting old.  It isn't a bad product, just bad marketing.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

Honestly air has been what his campaign is all about.  When the hated Hillary talks about new programs she also says where the money is coming from to pay for it...a very important point for some of us.  Obama offers few details.  The 300 billion in new spending he has promised (as per WSJ) would set a record as being 60% higher than any previous administration has pulled off in 1 year (1.4 Trillion in new spending over 5 years!).  Obama looks like a new version of Jimmy carter to an old fogy like me :-D

Yeah once the Rev Wright stuff was released it was the begining of the end for him. It appeals to Prejudices and brings out the worst in those that are supressing them. It's spun out of control and I recently heard Omama defending himself over attending the million man march because Farrakhan was there. They are hanging every extreme brother who ever lived around his neck that they can at this point. If Hillary brought this out so she can win the nomination that is all she'll win. Barak supporters won't get behind her after a bitter fight and the GOPers who don't like McCain will be canceled out by the Barak supporters who cross over or don't vote.

Can someone explain to me, why it is that the Democratic primaries are stretched out over 6 months?  If that weren't enough, then, you have to wait another 2 months for the convention.

If there is such an advantage to have the nominee selected early, to unify the party and to have more time to attack the ultimate opponent, why the hell would a party wait until there are only 8 weeks before the general election to make their choice official?

Am I missing something here?

No, the media owns the votes.  60 to 70% of the population of the United States turn on the TV to find out what they are supposed to think.

I think you're being generous.  I'd put it at 80% or higher...

call obama a gas bag makes you look wrong...using hillary as an example of some sort of bastion of depth or integrity makes you look foolish

You are right.  The fact that more Americans are interested in the outcome of the latest American Idol than are interested in this campaign makes me want to throw up.

I'm note sure but I think many of the super delegates have political, appointed or party jobs and they need to be on the side of the winner when all the dust settles.

Here's some good, ole fashioned Hillary Bashing to make my day brighter.

And here's
Edwards on Colbert with the Ed-words, letting Obama and Hillary know what his endorsement is going to cost.
