florida is trending in the wrong direction

governor is a different office than senator/president but the (fake) equivalences between democrats and socialism were really effective with cuban and venezuelan voters. republicans will continue to hit on this and if the hispanic vote goes like this, there is simply no way for democrats to win state wide.   

when latin americans hear socialism they think castro or chavez. when the rest of america hears it they think scandanavia. that association is impossible to overcome, really.

the boomer vote is significant of course and the trumpian swing of that demo certainly plays a role, but losing latinos in the manner democrats did in 2020 is impossible to overcome. they can overcome the OANization of grandma and grandpa but they cant overcome latinos thinking biden is a socialist and democrats = lockdowns
