I'm glad that the domestic terrorism supporters and sympathizers are getting whacked. They're dumber than shtein so they think it's free speech violations but it has to be done.

Yeah pardoning Bannon - the guy who was ripping Trump supporters off - is a middle finger to his supporters. And they're too farging stupid to realize it.

Has Mitch really flipped on Trump?  His statement yesterday was unequivocal.  If he plans to vote to convict, that's a seismic shift in political landscape and I have a hard time seeing him being left out front by his caucus.   A two thirds majority is needed for conviction.  At present, only a handful of Republican Senators could be considered possible "guilty" votes, but if Mitch becomes one of them then conviction suddenly becomes to my way of thinking, not just possible but likely.  Presumably McConnell realizes that if they don't convict, then no President will ever be convicted, for anything, and the Republican Party will be wholly and entirely handed over to Trump, which would of course mean its demise.  McConnell appears to have no option except to convict.

They got what they wanted out off a useful idiot, and he's no longer useful.

I think Mitch is just being the snakeskin politician that he is. The tides are turning so he's disassociating with the MAGA crowd. He's going to do whatever is best for Mitch.

His motivation to convict would be to keep Trump from a 2024 run.

Trump couldn't resist one more lyin ass press conference

His remarks before he's shipped out are just a greatest hits recap of his biggest lies

its not the tides turning its him knowing he will never run for office again...he may not make his current six year term but if he does he isn't running for another 6 at age 84...best believe tho if he was he'd still be super MAGA
