Can't wait for the senate to not vote on it.

by next week chuckie will have the gavel....question is will they have the trial or just force a vote. it is justifiable to say, since he wont even be in office at this point, to just force republicans to vote on it and be done with it
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Weirdo twink viking guy has been identified, and he's had his picture taken with Guliani this year.

" The first glimpse of the deadly tragedy that was about to unfold came at 9 a.m. on the morning of the insurrection for one Black veteran of the US Capitol Police. But it didn't come from his superiors — instead the officer had to rely on a screenshot from Instagram sent to him by a friend.

"I found out what they were planning when a friend of mine screenshot me an Instagram story from the Proud Boys saying, 'We're breaching the Capitol today, guys. I hope y'all ready.'" The officer, who asked to remain anonymous out of fear of retaliation from his superiors, told BuzzFeed News that it was just a sign of the chaos that was to come, which saw officers regularly finding themselves unprepared and then outmanned and overpowered by the mob."

" You have the nerve to be holding a Blue Lives Matter flag, and you are out there farging us up," he told one group of protesters he encountered inside the Capitol. "[One guy] pulled out his badge and he said, 'We're doing this for you.' Another guy had his badge. So I was like, 'Well, you gotta be kidding.'"

There were five deaths, right?

1.) Avid Trump fan cop, on duty, beaten to death by Trump mob, literally using an American flagpole, etc. to kill him.
2.) crazed Deplorable woman shot dead tryin' to crawl through a door/window
3.) Trumper trying to steal/vandalize the Capitol falls, accidenttally shoots himself in the dick with a tazer, dies of heart attack.  SNOPES
4.) idiot Deplorable woman, wrapped in a Don't Tread On Me flag, is trampled to death by her comrades in arms
5.) Avowed MAGA cultist stroked out

Damn. That's disappointing to read that update.

Diomedes

I'm more disappointed that I was party to spreading falsehood.  Embarrassing.

Would that Republicans had such scruples.

Why would a Trumper steal a Tip O'Neil portrait?  Should have known that was some bullshtein.

Also - Dio... you spread it to like five of us.  You're good, buddy.

Arnie with a very good statement

https://twitter.com/schwarzenegger/status/1348249481284874240 21

My most conservative friend, who left the Republican party when John McCain disgraced himself by selecting Sarah Palin as his running mate, sent me this clip today.  My response, which I was already composing at the time to post here:

The Beerhall Putsch would be a more apt analogy than Kristallnacht, but for 'Mericuns, the reference would be far too obscure.  Conan seems to know this, because he takes some time to describe Kristallnacht, which is something he shouldn't have to do, but in America we are proud of our willful ignorance.   I find his personal remembrances about common Europeans, like Republican Americans today, going along step by step with the fascists, and about the drinking to forget, and the suffering of families, all very strong.  I appreciate that he's willing to call the Deplorables what they are:  spiritual kin to Nazis.  Precious few, even now,  have been brave enough to do so.  But once he moves on from personal observations, my eyes glaze over a bit.   When he starts on the sword gimmick, and the platitudes about American strength and recovery and all that....eh.  He's talking like it's over and that's not clear.

To carry the corrected analogy forward, if this was the Beerhall Putsch, then we should beware the coming Kristallnacht.  Following this mostly bloodless failed Putsch, there's a nonzero chance that America will suffer widespread rioting and mob violence by Red Hatters on the 20th, or some other day.  Republicans have done nothing to prevent it, mostly keeping quiet and avoiding Herr Trump's wrath.

I'm atheist.  Don't believe in a God.  If I did, I'd be praying for Republicans to abandon their cult hero en masse, and repudiate his rhetoric loudly and clearly, and direct their supporters to behave themselves.

I won't hold my breath for that.  At this point, if you've still got an R next to your name now, then you're a modern Nazi.

They're still fundraising off it.  47% of GOP's don't see anything wrong with what the Putz did.

Insanity.

Also, the NRA is back to saber-rattling at Biden, letting people know that he's definitely gonna take "muh gunz and freedom."

Pretty clueless response, and it's a shame because he's got some solid, non-conventional ideas, and he's a pretty good communicator.
