QuoteRep. Kurt Schrader, D-OR, tells House Dems he is against impeaching Trump after the riot at the Capitol, likening it to a "lynching," per a source on the call.

You know what? Nevermind. Let Vanilla Isis back in and burn it all down. To hell with everything.

I know it's been dark and depressing and awful but this week made me giddy. Like legit excited about things for the first time in many years.

On Tuesday a black dude and a jewish infant won senatorial seats in farging Georgia.

On Wednesday we saw the death throes of the country's most pathetic temper tantrum. A sad, infantile, entitled, foot-stomping, hissy fit. One last bowel movement from our culture's dumbest iceholes. I was worried that their thrashing around before the end would lead to real upheaval and wide-spread unrest and violence and instead we got dime-store Duck Dynasty taking selfies and stealing podiums. The Trump movement was always packed with morons but the mean-spirited incompetence was scary because it could ultimately lead to anything. From the benignly stupid to the apocalyptic, everything was one the table. And the closer to the end it got, the more dangerous it could get. But the final belch from these sad, racist, skidmarks amounted to an exercise in content creation where they all recorded themselves committing stupid crimes and scaring elected officials and will end up in jail for their troubles. The Toddler in Chief lost nearly all of his leverage for a negotiated transition of power and faces a mountain of civil and legal exposure the instant he stops being President. The dangerous, inarguable stupidity of the entire Trump experiment came to it's inevitable, moronic conclusion on live television for the world to see.

Oh, and Wednesday also brought that little thing where Congress certified Biden's win and several lost-causers tucked their tail between their legs and did the right thing. Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley made themselves look like seditious fools. It was farging delicious.

Yesterday and today saw the internet do its thing and start naming the derp-brigade of MAGA chodes who stormed the Capitol, articles of impeachment have been drafted, administration officials have resigned "in protest" (real farging profiles in courage there) and there are even some sycophants making mouth noises about booting the orange turd. The chaos this clown has caused has finally eaten itself and there are signs of an actual GOP civil war.

Yes, this country is a total irredeemable shteinshow full of enough racist ugliness and dipshteintery to choke a horse. Yes people are dying by the thousands because of our total ineptitude in dealing with a pandemic. Yes our legislative leaders are a collection of fossilized platitudes who wouldn't know a good idea if it crawled up their dickholes and lit a match. Yes tens of millions of people knowingly voted for a sociopath. Twice. But this week has been absolutely farging fantastic for those of us who knew how the Trump years would go. This week's events represent the unmistakable end to this clownshow and we should all be rejoicing.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

QuoteBarnett was charged with knowingly entering and remaining in restricted building ground without authority, violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds and the theft of public property, officials said.

I'd love to believe actual charges would come after the inauguration, but there's no reason to. We've been given every indication that it'll be four years of coddling whackjobs so as to not offend them and doing the absolute bare minimum to keep people's heads above water.

Well said Rusty.  Nice to have you back, if only for a moment.

I've been skipping around the house since Tuesday, especially so after the morons that sped up my street, losing their tailgate, came moping back around 20 minutes later to find it had vanished.  Still makes me lol to think of it.

She died from being trampled while carrying a Dont Tread On Me flag. Can't make it up!

And one of the other deaths was a guy who tasered himself in the balls and gave himself a heart attack

From time to time, you get to see the world produce an exquisite justice.

Usually, quite the opposite.

I would be happier if Democrats weren't feckless & meandering fargtwats dithering about on what to do next.

And no one is happier about Trump leaving than I am but Biden is about as asleep at the wheel as anyone I've ever seen or heard.  I'm not complaining.  I'm just saying I hope Kamala is warmed up perpetually in the bullpen because there isn't a shred of doubt she's getting promoted at some point.

I'm pretty sure it was Biden's plan this election cycle to have one term at most.
