yeah NoVa is deep blue but people need to remember most in that area still are part of the government somehow.  whether it's through lobbying, govt contracting or whatever.  even though the trump hatred runs deep and they'll most likely vote for whoever the nom is, bernie scares them too.

can't believe we're not learning from our mistakes and we're going to end up going with touchy uncle joe.

Near the top of my list of reasons to dislike Our Dear Leader:  I can't play trick-taking card games without saying the motherfarger's name.  We been trying to call it the Obama suit instead, but old habits die hard.  Son of a bitch.

While I would vote for Bernie - having him face Cheeto Dick scares me. They (GOP) want Bernie. There's a reason for that.

Trump has to get out. By any means necessary. And if it means putting Joe B in there then so be it.

Here's to hoping the right kinds of voters show up today

they did.  ;)

Indeed. So depressing. Dems refusing to go back to their working class roots and staying corporatist as farg is maybe the biggest win the Republican Party and plutocrats have registered over the last 40 years.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

The progressive movement in full will come.

Job one is the removal of everything that Trump and Pence have done.

Sigh. Seriously, 40 years of right wing propo have broken so many brains and turned potential Dem voters into quivering wimps.

I wish I were as confident as you in that right now, Phreak. I just don't see who the messenger is that does it. You need basically a younger Warren because Bernie and AOC's style is still too polarizing and Warren has shown an ability to take far left stuff and make it sound appealing to normie Dems. But I don't know who that figure is in the party right now.

Gonna be a fun election year as the entire govt investigative apparatus gets behind fake conspiracy theories to hurt Biden

You think so? He might eventually close the border camps, but I wouldn't count on him to do anything remotely useful. No legalizing weed, no shutting down for profit prisons, doesn't believe in gay marriage, and will put forward weak, mildly conservative judges in the hope of bargaining with a Senate that will block anything he tries to do, no matter how inoffensive.

The man. The myth. The legend.

The Biden surge gives me hope.  People aren't voting for Bernie.  He's that dislikable.   Biden, on the other hand, is likable.  He's Obama's buddy.  He's a touch crazy but just enough to be endearing without being scary.

In short, farg Bernie.  His minions can stay the farg home just like they did yesterday.   It's all about the moderates now.

One last tweet for now...Dem energy is just at ridiculous levels right now:

Yeah but part of that just reinforces how dumb caucuses are.  They function as a way to depress voter turnout because of the time commitment.   The fact that our system is still so farged up that you have to wait hours to vote is a separate issue and problem.
