Lot of good numbers in this thread about the early vote so far.

If I'm reading that right, Austin, or at least the county it's located in, has already had more people vote in this election than voted in 2016. That's insane.

i knocked on about 100 doors today in south philly

-2 registered dem 2016 voters shut the door on me. one said he liked obama and casey but he was not voting. 70ish white man. the other, a sloth, just said no and SLAM.
-a particulary dumb looking middle aged white male was shouting "vote red" while i was speaking with voter. he then asked me what the dems were running on (i answered healthcare, education, etc). he then proceeded to claim that his fancy new chevy was obtainable because of trump. he was "broke" under obama. ok.
-i knocked on at least 10 houses where child protection services should be called, including one with 2 methed out white ladies who arent registered to vote to avoid jury duty. thats not how it works. their roommate, the voter, wasnt home.
-there were several homes that i couldnt be super effective out because of the language barriers. the typical canvasser is a snowflake like me. i dont speak vietnamesse or cambodian. much of the these immigrant communities werent super informed. some are registered, some arent. they move a lot. some are citizens, some arent. this is what needs to be focused on in 2020. theres a lot of work to do.
-the pwt was my favorite. there was a ton in south philly. i feel like i convinced at least a few of them to vote.

I admire your resolve but it's a fool's errand.   People love Trump.   They love his abrasiveness and his "straight talk" but most of all they love how he allows them to be the disgusting low-life racist gutter trash they've always been deep down inside.

Look, I truly hope I'm wrong.  I hope on Tuesday Americans snap out of it, come to their senses and vote blue, but I've heard and seen too much ugliness during the last two years to believe it's going to happen.

I had someone say to me "oh look you bought that brand new Mustang under Trump. Didn't see you buying it under Obama!"

Well...I did buy my brand new truck in 2010 under Obama and nevermind the fact that I didn't like the Mustangs during the Obama years. So...yeah, has to be Fox saying this for people to repeat.

They then tried to parrot about the economy and market (which has NOT been good for awhile now).
