I wrote to my Congressman (Fitzpatrick 8th district) the other day asking why he would vote on the absurd proposed tax plan. I screen my calls from unknown numbers. This morning I listened to my messages and I had a voicemail from Congressman Fitzpatrick regarding my inquiry. It wasn't a representative of his office, it was him. I must say, it's pretty impressive to reach out like that. I'm going to call back the number he left after work today to voice my concerns. He's anti-Trump on a lot of issues so his Y vote caught me off guard.

Call was late, like 7PM. Might have been more, I forget. I plan to bring the Roy Moore issue up too as well as the Russia inquiry. They really don't. Chances are they consider you a drain on the economy with your lifetime VA benefits and disability compensation.

When my lawyer and I did our custody/support write up he made sure to throw the Veteran part in there because as he says "most Judges are Republicans and they eat that shtein up". I told him I was writing my Congressman for a separate issue that had to do with custody/support, he instructed me to do the same thing.

We have vets in all the time.  They get additional tax savings if they're between 10% & 90% disabled.  Most are cool and very humble.   We had one come in that was a total dickwad Trump lover.  Kept pissing and moaning about "those people" getting tax breaks while he foots the bill. 

Turns out he was 100% T&P combat related, so actually, he was one of the freeloaders he was complaining about.

Anyway, I say all that to say this... we always say "thanks for your service" to Vets.  It's a small measure of the respect we have for them and it's legit.  This farghead had a fit when our clerk said it.  I actually stepped in (which I never do) and escorted him out.  He was ranting and raving out the door about who is SHE to thank ME, so I said quietly so no one else could hear, "well in that case, it's too bad Charlie or your own troops didn't take you out, because I'll bet they wanted to."

That shut him up and he left and never returned. 

In short, thanks for your service if you're a good dude.  If not, kill yourself, motherfarger.

for all i know that guy would be a raging icehole if he wasnt a vet and obviously every situation is different but i think in the moment id always give an angry dickhead vet the benefit of the doubt because you never know what they went thru and if that is maybe why they are acting like a bitter farg
