QuoteSPRINGFIELD, Pennsylvania (Reuters) - Republican presidential candidate John McCain said on Friday he fears that al Qaeda or another extremist group might attempt spectacular attacks in Iraq to try to tilt the U.S. election against him.

against him?  are you kidding?  they'd rather have a conservative in the presidency than anyone else...Bush has been their number one recruiter...surely they like McCain's pro-war talk...

these people need an enemy to keep up their fight...McCain offers the best chance of that

what a looney toon that guy is...he gets more and more frightening with every day....what happened to the john mccain of 10 years ago

this is good news tho....because when mccain says unbelievably off the wall garbage like this is teaches people to know that he really is just another george bush and this hurts him in the general...of course it also rallys the republican base but they voted in the last election so its not a plus for him....what he needs is some of the people obama attracts

Obama calls to congratulate Paterson

The funny part is that Spitzer's resignation removes a superdelegate from the Clinton column.

Oh, he was a super?  I knew he had endorsed Hillary mid 2007...I didn't know he was an SD

I also thought the al Quada tie-in from McCain was absurd, but hey, get used to it.  Fear Mongering 101 is a prerequisite course at GOP University and when the Dems do get the nomination thing squared away, that's all you're going to hear from those corksuckers.
