Below is Donald Trump's formula -- 19 points in all -- to make America great again, as culled from his Tuesday remarks.

•Sell junk to Saudi Arabia, since the goods we send them are blown up anyway;
•Repeal Obamacare "and replace it with something that benefits everybody";
•"Turn off that spigot" of sending money to China (in the form of debt payments) by taxing them "until they behave properly";
•Renegotiate our foreign trade deals;
•Call up the head of the Ford Motor Company and tell them they are going to be taxed at 35 percent for every car coming from Mexico until they decide to nix their plant in Mexico City;
•End President Barack Obama's executive actions on immigration;
•End border crossings from Mexico because some of those border-crossers are "rapists";
•To do that, build a "great, great wall" on the U.S.-Mexico border;
•Have Mexico pay for that wall;
•Don't appoint a secretary of state who rides bikes and breaks his leg;
•Avoid riding bikes himself;
•Work hard on the Islamic State problem;
•Stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons;
•Find the General Patton or General MacArthur from within the U.S. armed forces to "make it really work" in the Middle East;
•Rebuild the country's infrastructure -- "nobody can do that like me";
•Create jobs -- "I will be the greatest jobs president that God ever created";
•Save Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security "without cuts";
•Protect the Second Amendment;
•Take the brand of the United States "and make it great again."

I'm not a typical thread participant, mostly because I hate politics. But, dude, all of the candidates are so bad. They seem to get worse every election.

im pretty sure the donalds definition of infastructure is very different than the infastructure the country needs....hes talking about office buildings that rich builders brag about like its a fleshpop size or casinos which steal money from poor people then go out of business....not roads and bridges and pipes etc

it absolutely hilarious anyway that because he is a developer that somehow he would have an advantage as president and would be going over blueprints and be out on sites in a hard hat

Totally agree with that. He's a farce...and probably not the worst option by a good bit. Not that I have any great love for the Democratic candidates, either, to be fair. I hate both sides. Nothing would make me happier than a candidate I could really get behind. But to get to that level of politics, you basically have to be an awful person.

Sanders is drawing an astounding number of people to his rallies.   There's a real need for a strong liberal option in the Democratic Party if only to make sure Hillary doesn't pull a Bill and drift further to the right just to court MA votes.

Sanders is fun but I don't think his candidacy has any legs.  Warren would be the very left option to oppose Hillary but I don't think she runs.  I like Corey Booker and would enjoy him running in 2020.

I still haven't found a candidate that I'm remotely interested in voting for yet, but if push comes to shove, it's straight down the line Democratic.   The GOP literally has nothing for me at this point in my life.  I hate everything they represent.  Everything.
