Meh...with Republicans working feverishly against them at every step, denying staffing, funding, forcing appeals and reviews and delays of every kind...they get a pass.

It'll work eventually.

it wont be a pass when democrats lose the senate this year primarily because of the clusterfarg that has been the aca....this just puts another bullet in the chamber of the republicans

Unlike when it first launched, which was due to a lot of bugs, the website is 'down' today because it has literally been getting bombarded by millions of people over the weekend. I read yesterday that HHS said the site got over 2 million visitors this weekend alone.

Not even the best websites can withstand that kind of traffic.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Seriously. Freaking out about the ACA rollout is drama queen bullshtein. There were problems initially, they've been fixed and the whole reason things went down this morning was because of too much interest in signing up. So many people want to get on board that it crashed the site and it's still likely that they'll hit the (meaningless) 7 million sing-up number.  Not exactly a failure.

Yeah I didn't think they'd hit that 7 million figure after everything that happened, but the amount of traffic they've been getting this weekend looks like it's gonna spike them up to that figure, if not very close.

you can call them drama queens all you want but those drama queens vote...particularly in mid term races and polls have overwhelmingly shown that the ACA "failures" are killing red state dems to the point where it would be a surpise if they dont lose the senate

Of course they're going to lose the senate. That's just geography + math. The ACA site going down this morning has zero impact on how voters in West Virginia will behave. My point was that democrats and liberals freaking out and calling it incompetence is drama queen, oh no the sky is falling, horse shtein. The law is in place. Millions upon millions of people are signed up. Obama is still in office. They can defund and chip away at it for two years, but the law isn't going anywhere.

And the Senate will swing right back to the Dems in 2016, when there's only 10 Dem seats up for grabs vs. 24 Republican seats.

this is simply 1 billion % wrong.....theres been hundreds of polls that say otherwise...if they lose the senate by far the number one reason will be the ACA.....obamacare is lethal political posion for red state dems...which is why they all have distanced themselves from it

ftfy.

Literally nothing that anyone can do right now, website functionality least of all, will make them vote dem. Demographic study after demographic study show that states like KY and WV, who are normally inclined to vote democratic because their populations are poor, unionized and government dependent will absolutely not vote democratic right now because they don't like obama. The senate is gone. Let it go and wait for 2016.

im talking about red states that have elected democratic senators since obama has been in office....these arent lost cause states that would never elect a dem like mississippi....these are states that despise obamacare...sure a lot of the reason they hate it is because the republicans has just smashed the dems in the message war with hyperbolic bullshtein but those messages have been given infintely more power and weight because of how disgraceful the administration has handled the implementation of the the aca

They handled it how the government handles anything IGY, overpaid a bunch of idiots with zero knowlege how to create something on that large a scale.  Panic'd, had to call in the big guns from private firms who worked tirelessly to get the system functional, but not perfect.  The article at the end of february in Time was really a great read.  http://time.com/10228/obamas-trauma-team/  Of course it appears you need a password to the article, but the gist is, The government treated it like any other project.  America.. F yeah.

I had a guy in our office this morning bitching about Obamacare and govt in general.  He was also complaining about confederate license plates not being available in Florida (for real).

I cut his ass off in mid sentence and told him I don't care about his opinions/politics and I'm here to answer property value issues.
