Only when the lesson plan includes questions like "What can you do to help Obama the President achieve his goals?"

Amazing they haven't released the text of that speech yet... must be going through quite the re-write.

Meanwhile, Reagan gave a speech to students about the evils of taxes which is 100% a policy driven topic. So one president asks a hypothetical question to help students feel empowered and motivated and the other gives a policy speech, but somehow the Obama speech is inappropriate? Hypocritical. Partisan. Bullshtein.

If Obama was giving a speech purely about staying in school, I'm sure no one would have had a problem with it.  But the fact that they were suggesting lesson plans and urging teachers to display posters with famous Obama quotes.  Please, this shtein was partisan and you know it.

Ha. I have no idea if Liberals bitched, but something tells me they didn't do it with the same irrational anger we're seeing now.

Either way, both of the bills that you mention get the gas face from me. The Patriot Act might be the single worst piece of legislation to pass in my lifetime.

Edit: God forbid the Harvard educated, former Law professor President take an interest in the nation's educational plans. He hardly even has any experience with education. How dare he. Posters of sitting Presdients have been a part of classrooms for a century. You're trying really hard to make something out of nothing.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Why is it irrational? If some parents don't want their kids subjected to that garbage, then why should they??

As for his education??? I could give a rat's ass.  His buddy Van Jones went to Yale, and he's one of the biggest nut jobs in this administration, and that's saying a lot.

Something out of nothing.

Find something rational to get upset about. Not a President who cares about education and wants to use his position for something positive.

Like Cap and Trade?
The Abomination of his Health Care reform?
His lack of any direction in Afghanistan?
Prosecution of CIA operatives who were just carrying out orders?

Cap and Trade has its merits and its negatives. Short term its an expensive mess. Long term it is a good option. It depends on your perspective and your priorities obviously.
The healthcare plan that he favors hasn't been presented yet. Sounds like we'll hear what it is this week. Keep your pants on. He failed when he decided to delegate to congressional Dems but he's trying to right that ship.
Afghanistan is a clusterfarg, agreed, but he has left that planning to everyone's favorite general from 10 months ago just like McCain would have. Hard to blame Obama for that mess.
Again, he's delegated responsibility on that one. Cheney and Rumsfeld should be the ones under indictment. The operatives, though I think they should know better, should be spared in my opinion.

QuoteSpending massive amounts of tax payers' dollars on ridiculous pork barrel projects isn't going to be catalyst.

Yes, all that "spending bill" had was a bunch of ridiculous pork barrel projects. As evidenced by what you wrote ^

Further, I thought I recently posted a WSJ article demonstrating that the "spending bill" (or "stimulus" as non-Fox watchers call it) is actually starting to turn things around.

Have you looked at the chicago public school system, its garbage, look at test scores, cost per student. They are bribing students to get good grades for christ sakes. Obama was a chicago organizer and did nada to improve the Chicago Public School System. so excuse me if I call bullshtein to his "pep rally"

Rome

Are you seriously blaming Obama for the ills of the Chicago public school system?

Please tell me you're not.

Please?

If I have the time, I'll go through about a dozen WSJ articles posted on the web in the last 2 months, blasting Obama and his policies... so sorry if I don't give any credence to a random one you posted.
