The Bucs game is entirely on his shoulders. And beyond that he is the self-proclaimed leader of this team. He is one of the FIRIST people you should point at after ANY loss. It comes with the territory.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

McNabb also made the plays to get the Eagles the lead late in the 4th quarter. What else did you want him to do, run out and block the 62 yard field goal?

RJS, when you say things like "McNabb constantly brings up being booed in interviews", it really shows how much you just WANT to be a negative POS. I know you're not stupid enough to believe that McNabb just brings it up, and it has nothing to do with the media asking him about it and constantly dragging it up over and over again.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

why do you think they ask about it?  because he constantly talks about it, they know they'll get a sound clip about it.

and if he was really past it, he'd respond to the media's questions about it by saying, "That's in the past and I don't talk about it anymore."

but keep blaming the big bad media for doing their jobs.

Hah! Then you'd all be on here talking about how he's such a Hoyda for not talking about it. How he dodges questions and just tries to be the corperate man. How he should just get it off his chest and not be so afraid to tell us how pissed off it made him to get booed on one of the best days of his life. What a puss!

But shame on him for keeping his mouth shut and taking the high road when TO was tearing McNabb and the team apart.

actually no, because if he didn't ask the quesiton, it wouldn't provide the news with a sound clip, and we'd never know he was asked the question.

you probably have trouble following the directions on a box of pop tarts, huh?

This was the first Eagles game I missed in a few years, and it looks like I picked a good one to miss. The high(low)lights of this game are torture enough, I'm so so glad I didn't watch the game.

Poor tackling, dropped passes, dropped INTs, poor coaching... I got all that from the highlights. What a game. Garcia throwing the ball 48 times against the Texans zestyass run defense is disgusting. Andy Reid is a farging idiot. fargin' hell man. How stubborn, how farging stupid can one coach be.

It sucks ass big time that McSlabb is hurt, I'm still a big fan and supporter of his. I think he has what it takes to be a super bowl winning QB. Call it blind allegiance if you want, but there aren't many QBs in the game I'd take over him. I hope to hell he's ready by the start of next season, otherwise I might shoot myself. :crazy

They sure have shown all the clips of McNabb going with the "I'm not going to get into it" quotes on TO, havn't they?

It's amazing what people will try to pick at after a horrible loss...The Eagles played a horrible game and our star QB was lost for the season...lets call him a Hoyda! :crazy

The bottom line is this;

People in this town are too goddamn caught up in what is said to the press or not said to the press. People are also too goddamn concerned about external issues. Meaning what the guys farging parents happen to think about something. The media ask the same questions and they give the same answers year after year.

All that should matter is what happens on the field - and McNabb is one of the best QBs in the NFL and has been for years. Most of the teams in the NFL would kill to have him and their fans would kill to have him as their QB. But not in Philadelphia becuse we're proud to rip our players apart because of stupid off the field bullshtein.

The only thing that we should give a farg about is the on field issues. And he's pretty goddamn good on the field. But people would rather have a guy who is rah-rah in press conferences and see the cameras showing him yelling rather than actually producing.

Munson

Exactly.

If and when this guy does win the Super Bowl, I'll put the over/under at 15 of the number of times he gets asked something like..."You're here, you've taken the Eagles to a place they've never been before...Super Bowl champions.....now looking back on the day they drafted you, all the booing....blah blah blah etc etc etc.."

It's not Donovan McNabb's fault that the media will never, EVER let it go.

Alright, take all the negative factors that McNabb has as a player.  Not most accurate passer, can get happy feet when pressured, has shown tendancies to hold onto ball too long, can get in a rut if bad decisons made early, add to the list as you wish...

Yet the gameplan offensively has not changed in years! It's still a pass happy gameplan. Nothing has changed. No teams are fooled.  The coaches have proven that they don't and won't adjust to different teams and or adjust if something isn't working during the game. They continue to put the pressure on McNabb...30-50 passes a game! Why put that much emphasis on a QB when he has proven to have some of the above negative factors? I'm not saying McNabb sucks. He's def top 5 or top 3 QB's in the league, but look at the other successful QB's in the league...look at the super bowl winning teams and the type of offenses they run.

Not only do they have less passing attempts...they focus on running the ball and clock management. Look at the guy who won last year. An offense driven by the run. Rothlisberger won a damn superbowl! Look at the Patriots, another offense that relies heavily on the run, but has more of a balanced style attack because Brady is that good.  The running game opens up opportunities for the QB regardless of his abilities and takes pressure off the player.

All I am saying is good teams adjust to the players on their rosters and the teams they go to battle with.  Why have McNabb throw so much when we all know he's not the most accurate. Why throw so much when every team knows we are pass happy and McNabb has the tendancy to hold onto the ball too long. Why throw so much when he can get happy feet when pressured. Why havn't they adjusted to keep defenses honest...McNabb has been a piece of meat that past two seasons due to the obvious pass happy playcalling.

When the only positive about the game at all is Reno Mahe's returns, you know the game was lousy.

Oh, one more positive:  I managed to not destroy anything in the house.

Damn kids are going to be in for it tomorrow.

Westbrook almost had 100 yards for the 2nd wweek in a row.

Besides that...yep..Reno Mahe.

And Mussa, I agree pretty much right on....this 75% passing plays per game really isn't working...it seems like everyone but Reid knows that.
