Comes up bad for me, too. And Firefox won't even let me look at the source code.

Chrome says nothing about it, but its always been hit or miss.

Most of my friends are douchebags (birds of a feather) and they made it so if you go to www.[myname].com the browser goes to www.muttonbone.com. Since I am unoriginal, I need to know how to do this so I can exact a small measure of vengance.

I don't know how to do it but that is pretty b-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-d ass.  You got served.

Anyone's laptop charger ever randomly stop working?

It did this to me oncea couple weeks ago, and after a lot of messing around with the wire it started working again...then tonight it stopped again. Is this just an issue with the wire? If so, is it cheap to replace?

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

How the hell could we know if it's the wire or the magic box?  No, it's not cheap to replace unless you want to go with a Chinese epro, which uses unicorn hair instead of copper.

Ha!  Chances are, I'd say you've got a short somewhere in the power cable.  The less likely problem is that something is shorting out in the outlet that you plug your power cable into.  I have no idea how much a new power cable would be, but the power outlet on your laptop can be fixed for somewhere around $50 if you take it to some nerd who has his own computer repair shop.  I'd stay away from Best Buy and their Geek Squad if I were you.

Thanks sarge. Yeah I'm hoping it's just the wire and not the actual jack to the computer. Luckily, I have an oriental friend who's great with this shtein and its gonna take a look at it for me.

Can someone help explain why my router will not connect to my laptop?

It's worked fine since I bought it months ago. I went out and came back home tonight and it will not connect. I have reset the modem, the router and the laptop.

When I try to connect the laptop to the wireless it blinks back and forth between connected and not connected. When I click repair to says acquiring IP address but never does and basically times out.

The wireless light on the router (Belkin N150) show lit solid green when the laptop is disconnected. As soon as I try to connects it blinks orange and will not connect.

But it will stay connected to my iPhone and I have no issues using the desktop.

Help.

Find a size screen you like. Find one with a keyboard you're comfortable with. Then, find the cheapest one you can like that with the longest warranty. If it says Averatec, look for something else.

Nothing, just different names for the same thing. A netbook, however, is a little different. They strip those down to the bare minimum, and they don't have the cd or dvd burner.
