Larry will be the coach next year. Watch. Billy will want him coaching up the rookies and Greg Oden.

Just like Charlie was an "advisor" until Bowa was thrown under the bus; Larry will be the same.

Greg Oden.

Stop it.  You know that even if the Sixers had all but one ball, that one ball would be pulled...

OR, they will have the first pick, and Oden will decide to stay in school.

Just stop.

Here is why Greg Oden will not be a Sixer.

QuoteExcerpts of Allen Iverson's TNT Interview

John Thompson conducted a lengthy interview with Allen Iverson this afternoon. All I really want to know from it is why he requested a trade. He was a loyal good soldier in Philadelphia for freaking ever. What happened? (Why don't we know that already?) I feel like there must be a story there.

I don't know if they'll cover that in detail or not. I have to assume Thompson will have at least asked about it.

Anyway, it'll air tomorrow after the Phoenix vs. Dallas game on TNT. TNT sent me transcription of a couple of excerpts.

Iverson on his infamous "practice" comments:

"It's just blown all out of proportion. That was a day I wish honestly never happened. I didn't mean it like 'I don't care about practice' or anything like that, I'm just saying we are having a press conference and all you all want to talk about is practice and we should be talking about your (Iverson's) future is still being here (in Philly). I couldn't have accomplished the things in my career if I didn't practice, and the worst part about that whole thing is when a kid comes up to me and says "Allen I don't like practice, either". I've got to straighten that kid right then. I didn't mean what these people are putting out there, that every time you see that one clip you see "I'm talking about practice". I didn't mean it like that. I just want kids all over the world to know you have to practice to be any good in this game, it's too hard. When you are not practicing someone else is getting better...I don't get enough credit for the practices I HAVE been to in the past ten years (laugh)."

Thompson asks Iverson if he's a thug:

"A thug? Man, I'm 31 years old and a husband with four kids, I hope I'm no thug. I hear all those negative things and don't hear anything positive. I think that's all those people feel... that way that's all they hear about when you hear Allen Iverson did something negative or something. And when it's about something negative, everybody wants to rush to get it. I'm not going to be the same as I was when I've made so many bad mistakes. If I'm not getting older and more mature at 31, then something's wrong."

UPDATE: Iverson talked to Stephen A. Smith, and says he didn't explicitly demand a trade--rather he said something along the lines of the situation needs to get better, or I should go. Which is a little different, I guess. Watch the little video clip, and there's something there Philadelphia fans will really appreciate. He talks about how Philadelphia is a demanding and tough place. "Now I don't know. If I'd a went someplace else, to some cupcake city, and I did anything I wanted to do, and it was nothing, I don't think I would be the man that I am now. So I'm glad..." Philly, you may not have your star anymore, but you're no cupcakes, and that's something.

"For all the civic slurs, for all the unsavory things said of the Philadelphia fans, also say this: They could teach loyalty to a dog. Their capacity for pain is without limit." -Bill Lyons

Just stop.

If the Sixers get the worst record they are going to get one of Oden, Durant or Wright. At this point all these players look like future superstars. I don't see how this team can go wrong with tanking.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

I don't think the 76ers have to "tank."  They're just that bad.

Did anyone catch Screamin A's interview with AI?

SAS: "I give you a name, tell me the first thing that comes to mind.  Billy King."
AI: "... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... someone I used to work for"
SAS: "Maurice Cheeks"
AI: ".... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... someone I used to work for"
SAS: "your teammates"
AI: "love em"

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

romey has three teams now?

Nah, still only two, but he will cheer for Iverson as a player no matter what, like you with Sean Taylor.
