Gray says that Iverson told him "a deal with Minnesota is in the works. I hope that one goes through"

He's one of the best players in the history of the game.

so is Bill Russell, you think someone would give up a 1st round pick for him too?

AI has a huge contract, a reputation for not being a team player, and just got banned from his team.  you think he's at the peak of his value right now?
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

BK is a moron. The only reason he wants Foye is because he played at Villanova. Don't get me wrong, Foye is a nice player, but the pick is going to be the key in any deal.

I wouldn't be too upset if we could get Mike James and also McCants in return. McCants has been a bust so far but still has potential and was quite good at UNC. I don't want Ricky Davis. The last thing we need is a selfish malcontent to replace AI.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.

i loved how Snyder blew up Billy's shroud of secrecy with about 3 sentences.

No I don't. The deals I'm mentioning aren't that mind-blowing. His deal isn't that huge right now. He makes like 18 million a year but he has 2/3 years left which isn't a lot. It isn't like he has this 6 year deal that will expire when he is in his late 30's.

I don't want Ricky Davis either. He's a bum.

Foye wold be the centerpiece of that deal, IMO.

Foye, Carney, Igoudala, Green & Korver = good young nucleus.

don't forget all world foul machine Sammy D

Minny owes their lotto protected 07 pick to the Clippers anyway so we are talking 08 draft pick.

Foye provides a problem in that he is more of a combo guard. He doesn't have pure PG skills and is more of a 2 guard, but he isn't that great of a long distance shooter either. His strength is his midway game and his ability to drive.

I think this team needs to build around a pure PG and I think this team should think about moving Iguodala. Before you think that is crazy, think about how inconsistent he has been each year from game to game. Iguodala is a nice young player but has no chance of ever being a superstar and if we could shop him around and check the interest it might be for the best. We need to start looking for big men because we have way too many 1's 2's and 3's on this damn roster.

Guess there's zero chance of an AI plus crap for Garnett swap. I wouldn't mind Foye, a player, and a pick. AI's trade value is shtein so at least we'd be younger and the future wouldn't look as bleak.

The BIGSTUD

I don't get the rush to trade him either. This team isn't going anywhere anyway. Wait until the deadline until teams get desperate and then move him. So what he demanded a trade, the bridge is burned anyway just tell him to wait. What can he do, hurt the locker room? This team can't get any worse last time I checked.

I'd like to forget him.

I would explore putting AI2 at the point more. They've been running him there lately but I think he could end up being a decent point. We all would like to see him score more and that's not happening. He doesn't, for whatever reason, play aggressive enough on the offensive end as far as scoring goes. So why not let him run the point and not have to worry about scoring. Let him run the offense, play defense and do whatever else.

PhillyPhreak54

Lost in this trade talk is they are successfully blowing this game. Classic Sixers. Get a big lead and then piss it away.

MDS

Whatever. They suck, they'll suck with or without AI. Getting Foye or whatever won't make much of a difference. King is a moron and they'll never win shtein with him at the healm.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

PhillyPhreak54

Winning by 20.

Down by 6 now.
