dook has fake knees...with moats dressed there was absolutely no reason for him to be in the game

i said to sun before the offense even took the field that if buck comes out andy needs to be shot

Yeah... I don't even necessarily disagree with you.  Once I saw him take the handoff... I was worried about him getting hurt.

Either way... I want to hope that he wasn't going to play him the whole game.

Buck's injury looked like a calf to me because he clutched the back of his leg. Did they say what it was?

Update...Buck has a CALF strain, not a knee strain.

Juqua Thomas has a calf spasm.

Andy says not bad.

I thought I saw Buck grabbing his calf and not his knee.

SunMo

i thought it looked like a calf strain, but i'll have to wait for the injury report to be sure.

QuoteSheppard hopeful about elbow
By RICH HOFMANN
hofmanr@phillynews.com

Lito Sheppard left Lincoln Financial Field last night with his right arm in a sling, and with an expression of hope. "I can move it, so that's a plus," he said, of the dislocated elbow that he suffered in the fourth quarter of the Eagles' playoff win over the Giants.

An MRI exam will be performed today to see the extent of the damage, which occurred on a running play. But Eagles coach Andy Reid was pessimistic about the possibility that Sheppard might be able to make it back for Saturday night's second-round playoff game at New Orleans.

"It probably doesn't look too good for this coming week," Reid said, which means that he will have some decisions to make in the coming days involving Rod Hood, Joselio Hanson and perhaps William James (who didn't dress for yesterday's game).

Sheppard said the team's medical staff popped the elbow back into place while he was still on the field.

He said, "It's a little sore but I'll be OK. I think it's more hysterical than pain.

"You see your elbow turned a different way, and you know it's not supposed to go that way. But it was cool. It will be all right."

And if it isn't?

"[The others] just have to continue what they've been doing - play well, play their assignments, and everything will work out," he said. "Those guys have been in there. It's not a worry.

"It's one of those things. You can't let it get you down... Some guys just have to step up."

But it won't be easy. Sheppard has been the Eagles' best cover corner this season. His replacement, Hood, was beaten by Giants wideout Plaxico Burress on the game-tying touchdown with 5:04 left in the fourth quarter.

"It's a big blow, especially when you know [Sheppard's] playmaking ability, interceptions and returns for touchdowns, as he has done throughout his career," safety Brian Dawkins said. "But everything happens for a reason. There is a reason why we brought [cornerback] Will James in. There's a reason why Joselio Hanson got to play so much earlier in the season."

MDS

This could be bad. Horn, Colston, Henderson and Copper can torch this secondary. Not to mention they suck at tackling and OHMIGOD Reggie Bush can have a field day.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

i would guess Lito can't play because he would have to tackle?  i can't believe he can't cover somebody with an elbow injury.

William James is healthy and will play this weekend.

Lito may not be done for the playoffs, if they get past this week.
