I would have liked it if the deal was more than a year. They actually think a guy with no back can come in here and help this team turn it around. Its almost laughable when you think about it.

Why not sign him to a longer deal - I dunno, maybe 2 years? I mean, if he comes with the possibility that he take over for Hood next year, why not.....ah, forget it, it's not worth it.

James will be a pretty good addition to the secondary. Hanson has played well, but he still is a big liability by himself. If anything, The CB formerly known as William Peterson is a good coverage corner who, permitting, won't make big mistakes deep. I at least have more confidence in James than I do Hanson from the outset. We'll see if James is completely healed from that back problem very soon.

And, I don't get why everyone is blowing their wad over Hood. Yeah, he's all right, but the fact of the matter is where ever he ends up someone is going to over pay for him for really only three reasons (1) he's young (meaning 'upside') and (2) he's a cornerback and (3) he played pretty well for half a season when the Eagles were in the shteinter.

Anyone who didn't know Rod Hood was gone when Lito and Sheldon were signed long term go on and punch yourself in the head. Him and his agent saw what bums like Brian Williams got on the open market and were drooling from the jump. Get through this season without a major injury and he's gonna get paid like crazy.

I also wish Will Peterson, the name change is gay (maybe I'll get suspended for saying gay like the ESPN announecr), and his explanation for it is even more gay, would've signed longer than 1yr. But he probably wanted it that way so if he plays well he's on the market and will get looks too. He's a prostitute and the Eagles are his pimp right now.

But I like the signing. Him with no arms is better than Dexter Wynn.
