Oh yeah and I'm wearing an Eagles knit cap in the pictures. You know. Representin and whatnot.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

That's great. The Eagles look like that all the time.

I have a ton of energy lately, today will mark my 14th day in a row at the gym. I'm having slight issues with my lower back but aside from that I feel as good as I ever have. I wanted to slim down a little for summer, so I cut out the bad carbs. Two weeks and 14 days later I'm down 7 lbs. It's good because my waist is down to 34 but my muscles don't have a full look.

Zanshin

That's great. I feel a ton better, too. Switching up the routine really, really helped. I did end up jumping on the 5x5 powerlifting routine. Totally different that the splits I've been doing for years, but I really like it and it's a total departure for my body, which is a good thing. Squats 3 days a week is a whore, but the results are solid.

As soon as I stopped running every day I gained 5 pounds and have stayed exactly at that weight for about a month. While I was running I was exactly at the same weight for like 2 and a half months. I think my body has found its equilibrium. I keep thinking about taking a few weeks off from drinking just to see if it gets rid of the mushiness in my stomach, but then I think farg that, I love you beer and I'm sorry for even thinking about breaking up with you, please forgive me.

I can't do squats (with weights) because of issues with my lower back, but 3x a week sounds brutal.

I hate to admit this but I cut beer completely out of my diet. It hasn't been as hard to deal with as I thought, primarily because I have so much going on right now. My break date is May 23rd (MMRbq). With that being said a few beers was never the problem, it was one lead to ten which lead to ordering a cheesesteak.

Zanshin

Yeah, that's my problem too. Moderation isn't my strong suit.

I'm doing a variation of a 5x5 and its bangin.

I do hack squats.  Seems to be easier on the knees and it still gets the job done.  Especially when you are doing 10 sets of squats a week.

SD

Hack squats are more concentrated on your quadriceps whereas regular squats work you entire legs (more). That being said Hack squats are the shtein.

mpmcgraw

Yeah I do  leg extensions and calf raises too.   I also alternate leg presses in and out. Being able to do 600 pounds of anything is always nice for the ego.

shorebird

I do calf and hip raises, and then anus flexing.

rjs246

I read somewhere that working out your legs is for women only and that men who do it enjoy licking the tip. I don't remember where I saw that, but I'm pretty sure it's scientifically proven.

Nothing makes a workout complete more than some anal flexing.

I'd counter that it's far more girly to work on the glamor muscles. I don't think any dude is working legs primarily for looks. Working legs is hard work but there's nothing that produces more natural HGH, which means bigger strength gains everywhere....and more muscle mass means more calories burned even at rest, which means more beer without looking like a fatty. Working legs is the way to go.
