If it works for you, that's great.  But the weight you're losing is mostly water weight and muscle-- especially if you're not lifting seriously.  As long as you're not kidding yourself.

I just started going back to the gym. My back had started acting up on me and there was a special for new members that was ridiculously cheap. I've been going 5 days a week. My body is not happy about this course of events.

Let them eat bootstraps.

Zanshin

Yeah, but after a week you'll start feeling great.

so you lose about 16 lbs a month each month from Jan to June?   And then you gain all of that weight loss back anyway?

16 is the most i lose...usually on the first go round

and its every other month from jan to june...plus the weight i lose from just generally eating better not having anything to do with the diet

If it works for you, that's great

it does....and thanks

if you can stick to it it really works...ive lost as much as 16 lbs on it (in one week)

its not easy tho

I did something very similar a few years ago called the Sacred Heart Diet. Same foods but you constantly ate the soup - which tastes great at first but gets old fast. I only lost 2 lbs. a week but it's not a bad diet.
I'm sort of in the same boat whereas I gain weight during football season - usually 10-15 lbs. At least with this season I've been consistently lifting weights. Come mid Feb. I'm gonna start doing cardio in the beginning of my workout with weights at the end. I gained 15 lbs. since September but a majority of that has been muscle. So I would like to lose 5-10 lbs. but keep what I have. I eat 6 small meals a day consisting of Oatmeal, protein shakes, lean chicken, and sometimes steak. My biggest problem is I like to splurge on the weekends.

BlueHeart

What the farg are you guys eating that you're porking up from tailgating?  :-D

I would imagine it has more to do with the booze than the brats.

Same foods but you constantly ate the soup - which tastes great at first but gets old fast

yeah it does...i dont eat it everyday because of that...never on the first day and then usually ill not eat it once the meat days start

i think thats pretty much the downfall of everyone...i can help but wanna slam about 20 beers and eat seven cheesteaks immediately after work every friday...

I just ran three miles in under 22 minutes. Haven't done that since I started smoking in high school.
