I haven't had a hoagie from wawa in years, but from what I've seen when other people get them, this article is dead on.

I think wawa's hot mto food is solid eats when you're on the go, but they've neglected their staple product for quite some time now. Don't know how long theyve been like this, but I think it's been close to 10 years since I've had one.

That's just plain wrong.  I had a grilled chicken with provolone and lettuce and tomato today and it was great.  The tuna is good and so is the Italian.  The cheesesteaks aren't bad either in a pinch. 

They're not remotely as good as regular delis in the DelVal but for gas station food, it's pretty farging good.

Yeah I do their cheesesteaks every once in a while with extra pepper jack cheese and extra oil, makes them decently edible.

It's cheap and it's edible.   Publix is a supermarket chain down here and they have a deli that makes "subs".   Those are disgusting.   Subway is repugnant.   Hell, even Jersey Mike's is shtein compared to Wawa. 

Again, compared to White House in AC, they're garbage, but any port in a storm...

its hard to farg up tuna and mayonnaise but i agree their tuna is for whatever reason awesome...so is their chicken salad....and my god that pepperoni and provolone sandwich they have in the hot boxes on the register counters is one of the greatest things ive ever had

as for their hoagies they arent drastically worse than they used to be but they have definitely declined....mostly due to the bread that a lot of their locations now make in that same convection oven johnson that subway uses as opposed to getting it from a bakery like they used to...the hoagies are still world class for a big chain but they have depreciated a little
