Is this a good place to make a video request? If it is this is were I will do it. If not this is were I will do it. I would like to see a Lip Fluttering Tribute to the Philly D. Spurrier got it started, of course. There was a shot of favre lip fluttering in the GB game and parcells last week after the Dawk int. I can see it now Philly D Tribute. A defensive play highlight followed by a cut to the opposing teams lip flutterer of the week.

Yeah, but the Eagles are tied for 8th in the league in yards given up per play:

The problem is they are on the field entirely too long, probably because the offense scores too fast and they give up too many big plays on first and 2nd down. The Eagles defense has been on the field for the most amount of plays in the league this year, being on the field for 26 more plays than the NY Jets:

And we are 13th in the league in third down percentage:

The Eagles, it seems, are giving up a lot of big plays on first and second down that lead to first down conversions and scores. That would account for the amount of yards given up, because the Eagles are pretty decent on third down yet give up a lot of yards. That's my theory at least. I don't have the yards they give up on first and second down, but because of all the stats I mentioned, I would imagine that it would be pretty high.

Sorry IGY, I'll dumb it down so you can follow -- stating that the Eagles defense is ranked 24th is misleading due to the statistics I cited. The other factors would indicate that they are actually playing better than the 24th ranking in total defense would suggest.

We lead the league in sacks right now. I believe almost 90% of all the sacks are from D-linemen too. Thats pretty impressive. Let's see if we can keep it up all year long and against the better teams. Our D-line might be the best in the NFL right now, minus Kearse.  HOLLER.........
